Stranglehold: Xbox 360 demo completed, PS3 version coming soon |
Ó
Getting a little tired of the media volleys that have left you asking when Midway Games' Stranglehold (Xbox 360, PS3) will arrive? Senior game designer Patrick Curry has just announced that they've finished the Xbox 360 demo for the game, which has now been sent over to Microsoft for proper verification and upload to Xbox Live. And as Mr. Curry explains, here's what 360 owners can look forward to when it arrives:Just what does the demo contain? Tons. The demo starts off the same as the single-player game, introducing you to the controls and combat of Stranglehold. The Hong Kong Marketplace has tons of interactions, lots of combat, plenty of gags, a couple standoffs, doves, and even some extra hidden content. YouÂ’ll be hard pressed to find a demo with this much gameplay crammed into it.
Curry further added that the demo's PlayStation Network release is still under works, but should be available soon. We'll let you know if we spot the Stranglehold demo on either online service. Hopefully, it won't pull off a similar disappearing act similar uber-popular game demos seems to be experiencing...

PS 3 version is only on one disc. guess what inside the stronghold a real action movie. xbox won't have in one disc. enough space for bluray movie & game in one. trust me xbox won't get the movie on one disc. that is the benefit of bluray.
Think I'll buy the standard version which is cheaper because I bought my game console to play games not movies.
hi (unregistered) got pwn3d
Can't wait to play this demo...hope the cert doesn't take long and MS releases it ASAP.
Also, Blue dragon is still on the marketplace for me...it hasn't gone anywhere...
Oh, and although the movie is cool, it's hardly a critical factor in whether you would buy this game or not, it's just a bonus.
wow hi, you sound really desperate.
First off, no one cares that you get some old movie that went straight to dvd after it was made because no one wanted to see it. Secondly, Ill get the 360 version because if its anything like other multiplats it will play (no framerate issues, no blutooth drop outs, wont have to waste 10 minutes installing just to play, faster load times) and look better (better textures, true shadowing, not as many jaggies) on 360 that it will on ps3.
If I cared so much about the movie that was included I would have already bought it, because its an old movie to begin with and can be found at any rental place for like five dollars.
Xbox players know they wont get the movie, and to be honest, they probably dont care (I know I dont). Kinda makes you wonder what theyre trying to make up for when they give you a movie with the game huh?
I own a xbox and xbox 360 and in my experience cross platform games run MUCH better on xbox.. I also like to sit in private chat with a buddy while I play single player games, not something I can do on ps3 sadly.
Shut the hell up Tim Y you PS fanboy, blue dragon went down once an hour after release. Always looking for someway to undermine the xbox / xbox live system aren't you? Pathetic.
I bet you're the same hi who brought up Xbox not getting MGS4 in the article about MGS4 having an online mode, even though the article never once mentioned the Xbox.
I told you before and I'll tell you again, get a life
I hope this demo comes out before the release of the game. Sony is so slow at adding demos and I'm getting upset. Just announce the dates Sony that games are coming out and stop holding onto the damn demos. Its like they don't want us to play them.
He probably only has a PS3 and is sad that his awesome free online service gives him one demo every 3 months, and for lame games....while we get sometimes 6+ demos a month...
They said the demo is not done for PS3, so Sony doesn't have it....
I also have a sneaking suspicion that if it's too difficult/expensive to re-work a demo for the PS3 then developers won't do it. Also, someone has to pay for the bandwidth, and with PSN being free, every demo that eats up 100's of terabytes of information in downloads costs Sony money...
XboxS.H.I.T60 Sucks ass big time. Oh and by the way Shatterdome you don't have to reply to every post in this article. When people like you do something like that it sort of gives people the idea that you have nothing better to do. How about you go back to your corner, play your piece of crap and shut the F.U.C.K up
In 6 Month every demo and every release gonne be deliver at the same time for ps3 and xbox360... then only difference for now is that game was release today was start devloped 1 or 2 years a go and the ps3 was not there a this time (1 or 2 year)... but in 6 month all game that was devloped 1 or 2 year ago was done for ps3 and xbox360... still waiting for now ... and see ... i know what i said im working in game devlopement...!
So if Shatterdome has time to reply to "every post" he has nothing better to do, but you do have better things to do even though you do the same thing? And quite defensively might I add. What's wrong, you heard the truth about the PS3 so your immediate reaction is shut the F.U.C.K up?
i never thought of it that way...
Is that stranglehold has been in development for both systems for the same amount of time...and will be released at the same time.....
Who knows maybe they will release the demos at the same time, but not from the sounds of it....
Well i think steak is really good especially with dark inspired lyrics. Look over at that wall its full of hens and cages that contain the broken hearts of my fathers whiffle bat. But i might be wrong, this is a time for action, and this gaming device is kinda into the waterworks of our society. So we got to take quick action as to whether or not we will be able to afford a trampoline.
i think ur only makin fun of the 360 cuz u dont hav 1, u held out for the ps3, paid extra money for a worse system and are really pissed about it but dont want to say it. if 360 sux whats good about ps3, what hit games do they have. big deal if it has bluray at least there isnt all these skips and bugs on the 360
I'd get this game for the 360 because the 360 will always have better gameplay than the PS3. I would regard the PS3 as a DVD/BluRay player that occasionally plays games.
In any case, Stronghold is a great game. It's like a Jackie Chan version of The Matrix. Very stylish. I love the precision aiming. Getting ballshots has never been so much fun. I also love the whole new asian-character look. It's cool. Plus, the destructible environments are kick ass. I can't wait for when it releases on the 360.
jog on will the gameplay b better your so dumb they'll b exactly the same man occasionly plays games u buy ps3 4 the games...i onw a 360 and ps3and 360 sucks it has no good games
people just like 360 because they say it has graphics because its too bright on the other hand ps3 is medium it has graphics and its dark and good the darker graphics the better ps3 rocks
