Getting a little tired of the media volleys that have left you asking when Midway Games' Stranglehold (Xbox 360, PS3) will arrive? Senior game designer Patrick Curry has just announced that they've finished the Xbox 360 demo for the game, which has now been sent over to Microsoft for proper verification and upload to Xbox Live. And as Mr. Curry explains, here's what 360 owners can look forward to when it arrives:Just what does the demo contain? Tons. The demo starts off the same as the single-player game, introducing you to the controls and combat of Stranglehold. The Hong Kong Marketplace has tons of interactions, lots of combat, plenty of gags, a couple standoffs, doves, and even some extra hidden content. YouÂ’ll be hard pressed to find a demo with this much gameplay crammed into it.
Curry further added that the demo's PlayStation Network release is still under works, but should be available soon. We'll let you know if we spot the Stranglehold demo on either online service. Hopefully, it won't pull off a similar disappearing act similar uber-popular game demos seems to be experiencing...

Also, Blue dragon is still on the marketplace for me...it hasn't gone anywhere...
Oh, and although the movie is cool, it's hardly a critical factor in whether you would buy this game or not, it's just a bonus.

First off, no one cares that you get some old movie that went straight to dvd after it was made because no one wanted to see it. Secondly, Ill get the 360 version because if its anything like other multiplats it will play (no framerate issues, no blutooth drop outs, wont have to waste 10 minutes installing just to play, faster load times) and look better (better textures, true shadowing, not as many jaggies) on 360 that it will on ps3.
If I cared so much about the movie that was included I would have already bought it, because its an old movie to begin with and can be found at any rental place for like five dollars.
Xbox players know they wont get the movie, and to be honest, they probably dont care (I know I dont). Kinda makes you wonder what theyre trying to make up for when they give you a movie with the game huh?

I also have a sneaking suspicion that if it's too difficult/expensive to re-work a demo for the PS3 then developers won't do it. Also, someone has to pay for the bandwidth, and with PSN being free, every demo that eats up 100's of terabytes of information in downloads costs Sony money...

Who knows maybe they will release the demos at the same time, but not from the sounds of it....

In any case, Stronghold is a great game. It's like a Jackie Chan version of The Matrix. Very stylish. I love the precision aiming. Getting ballshots has never been so much fun. I also love the whole new asian-character look. It's cool. Plus, the destructible environments are kick ass. I can't wait for when it releases on the 360.
