Stranglehold features, PC screens, and some packshots |
Ó
We have here some more info about the multi-platform, third person game from Midway Games, Strangleholdfor the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. If you haven't had enough from what John Woo had to say about it, then you're in for a treat, because this time around, we'll be dishing out to y'all the game's features and some packshots and PC screens. Here are some of the game's features:
- Signature Cinematic Action - gamers are given the chance to play a John Woo-directed blockbuster movie. So you could expect dual-wielding and stunt-laden gunplay combined with destructible environments to ensure that players would have a blast playing with this one.
- Gunplay and Stunts - future players will experience smooth flowing gameplay, which includes running up railings, swinging on chandeliers, and leaping onto moving objects. All of these you could do without interrupting intense gun battles.
- Blockbuster Hollywood Talent - well, this is where the John Woo and Chow Yun-Fat factor kicks in. Stranglehold will benefit from WooÂ’s direction on storyline, camera placement, and cutscenes. Aside from Chow Yun-Fat as Inspector Tequila, the gameÂ’s cast is also comprised of other A-list Hollywood talent.
- Environments as weapons - thanks to the Massive D physics engine, you could literally bring the house or building down on your enemies. Maneuver through unique piles of debris which persist in the environment.
- Intense gun battles - now what is a John Woo film without gun fights? Engage the enemy in Tequila Time by targeting and firing in real-time while the world dramatically slows so as you could enjoy the exhilaration of performing stunts.
- Unreal 3.0 & Havoc - the game would be using a highly modified version of the Unreal 3.0 engine integrated with the Havok physics system.
