Stranglehold blasts through Gamers' Day

Watching Stranglehold in action always reminds me, game-wise, of Max Payne, except that Max never looked this good. Why? Four words: "next-gen John Woo." That just rolls off the tongue beautifully, doesn't it? As beautiful as an Akimbo gunfight though a flock of flying doves.

What's unique about this 30-second gameplay montage preview of Midway Games' Stranglehold is that this is the PS3 preview of the action. This one comes straight from Gamers' Day, gun barrels loaded. It would have been nice to find other details of the action - especially the game controls on the PS3 themselves, but the search has so far turned up nada. However, we're sure we'll see more details of what people are hyping up as the best multi-next gen console shooter yet. Afterall, the game won't be out until next year which gives us enough time to discover more about this title

It really is the John Woo factor, you know, and this time, it's all about getting to be a John Woo hero.

Surprising Resemblance

theres a surprising resemblance from the main character of this game to the guy who played out bullet proof monks the movie O_O

resemblance

Yeah, because it's Chow Yun-Fat. He played Tequila in Hard-Boiled, the HK action movie that's the prequel to this game.

nice

sick looking game. i really hope they show more weapons and levels soon though... the game should nearly be done, and there's only been one gameplay level shown with 3 weapons.
