European retailers are preparing for the launch of the Playstation 3 console big time. The launch of the PS3 console has been delayed in the past, probably explaining why there is much anticipation for PS3's release day, which happens March 23.There will be an official launch at Virgin Megastores' flagship Oxford Street branch, but aside from that, specialist and independent stores all across the UK will be opening at midnight to fulfill pre-orders and sell consoles to everyone who can't wait to get their hands on the machine.
Some retailers even have worked with Sony to create specially made PS3 concept bays in their stores. Veteran retailers are finding the PS3 console buzz quite exciting. They've never seen such an anticipation for a product quite like the way fans are watching out for the PS3, even from a week away from the launch.
As for those who keep saying that the PS3 console supply are not going to meet the demand, the retailers are quick to point out that they've seen Sony do a great job in supplying PS3 units for sale. Sony has even helped the retailers market the product in-store, and wow the customers who are totally unfamiliar with the console.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOO H BOY only 8 days from today and it will be in my home where it belongs, man i cannot wait for next friday to come, i am actually havin fitz koz of the excitement, i have waited for this day for a long time, its going to be the best day of my life, even better then my marriage day and the day my triplets where born, actually i lied, its my second best day of my life, second only to the day i got divorced from my wife and kiked her lover in the ballz. I know this is a fanboy site. But it speaks volumes of how well the PS3 is going to sell in the UK. They cant even sellout there pre-orders FFS.

i wonder what the launch will be like??? ill be there, and of course get my ps3 in the morning!! you know virgin oxford street has it in store already and you can play it now!!! so u xbots go try it and u will see how the 360 is so shyt...it shouldnt even be called a 2nd generation console....ps3 all the way!!!
yeah sony is really doing his best to have a good launch they got all kinds of special worships, for example if you reserve a ps3 with a game you get 10% and a other exaple is pay 50 euro with your reservation and you will get 3 blue ray movies well at least in my country(the netherlands).
and i cant wait only 8 more days T_T

But here in SA, most retailers are sold out... It's only the larger mega store that still have stock...
netherlands pre-order, +monster component/optical cable, 2 games and a bluethooth remote (your universal IR is not going to work), all paid for...

It seems to me the PS3 won't sell well in the uk, everyday i get more spam from online retailers trying to push their pre-orders.
