Stop it already, there are NO co-op plans for Killzone 2 |
Ó

So you've heard it from Killzone 2 game director Mathijs de Jonge already - there are no plans for co-op. (Currently, at least.) And now, we also hear from Sony as well. Even they seem to be responding to the clamor for co-op.
A Sony representative contacted VG247 to say exactly that. It's the same thing as de Jonge said: "there are no plans for co-op in Killzone 2." How many times will they have to repeat themselves?
Killzone 2 is going to be fine as it is, I'm sure. Not having co-op should be the least of your worries. For now, you should concern yourselves with making sure you get a copy - i.e. pre-order the damned thing already before stocks dry up.

You know they should just put the damn thing in the game so people would just shut up. I suggest that they listen to their fans as well so that they get more people to love their game. To me it doesn't matter as long as online doesn't disappoint.
I couldn't care less about co-op in this type of game. If anything, co-op would detract from the campaign experience in my opinion. I just hope that co-op doesn't ruin the Resident Evil series...
Give us what we want and we'll stop asking.
since when does co-op change the outcome of how good a game is? cod4 had no co-op but w@w did... which is bettr. i dont really care about co-op, but according to some critics Killzone2 doesnt desrve a perfect score because thers no co-op and the tank missions rnt long enough? WTF!? but HALO3 does!? most critics r a bunch of bull*****ters, i mean the multiplayer could b the best, n the grafix could b the best but u wont give it a higher score than halo or gears because it has no co-op????????? good reasoning
I could care less about scoring the game. I want Co-op so I can play with friends.
">>>SO YOU'RE HEARD IT
"So you're heard it from Killzone 2 game director Mathijs de Jonge already - there are no plans for co-op. (Currently, at least.)" That means they didn't rule it out and adding it later through an update or DLC is a possibility.
I fail horribly at FPS compared to all the 1337pwnhax people out there, so Online mode is usually a massive failure in FPS for me. I need Co-op to enjoy things with friends, since running around for 2 seconds, then getting my head blown off over and over isnt exactly the most fun thing...for me at least..
and why cant gamers respect designers decisions? its always please the gamer, please the gamer. i think dev know what is good and bad and what can be the outcome of their game. there are lots of constraints in game dev and us gamers are just making it harder for them.
no respect at all.
We wanted co-op, now that it doesnt have it, we might change our mind about getting this game. You're right about the no respect though, you sound like a brat.
i dont really care one way or another, but it is seen as a great feature for many gamers and would have been great to have in killzone. im sure if this was news announcing that co-op may be added to killzone later, many gamers would be really excited over it, including some of those currently saying they dont care. at least the game itself seems awesome without it, and thats what really counts.
Dyslexia kicking in again. You've right... XD Thanks for the heads up. ;-)
well if I can still enjoy cod4, even more than cod5... then i can definitely still enjoy this game just single player and online multiplayer.. I might even play online before I play the story mode..lol... But of course I would love co-op... it wouldn't hurt to put it in, but all i know is that I can still enjoy the game to its fullest potential even without co-op.
