Star Wars: The Force Unleashed to offer new DLC packs |
Ó
A chance to get to force grip more stormtroopers? Excellent. LucasArts
has announced that they will be releasing downloadable content packs
for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed in the next few months for the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3.The first downloadable pack will come next month, featuring new costumes and character models that can be used for the single-player campaign. The new characters include Luke Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi (yey!), Ki-Adi-Mundi, and Kit Fisto.
Later this year, another DLC pack will offer a new campaign set in the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant, where the apprentice will learn more about his father, and where he will confront his inner demons. This is a separate campaign which you can access immediately when you download it, and will feature a map smaller than the planet Raxis Prime, but larger than Cloud City.
Hayden Blackman, the game's executive producer, also says that even more DLC will be available in the future. Looking forward to it.

So it sounds like we will be paying extra for content that's in the Wii version....ugh.
I can't believe that I paid for a $60(PS3) game without multiplayer, online or trophies and now they're going to to DLC where I have to pay a little more... Don't get me wrong, ironically speaking, I kinda think it was worth almost every penny for the part of the story line and action.
Hope its worth it. It would have been really cool if Sony could have had Lightsaber trophies for accomplishments .
So there's going to be DLC for the PS3 version which means that they have teams actively working on the game still. What I fail to understand is why then, they can't also create a trophies patch for it, since its still under development anyway.
It seems to be the only reason LucasArts created Achievements was because it's mandatory for the Xbox as I've read the Achievements list and they don't look well thought of at all and rather seem like "on the spot" decisions.
Looks like LucasArts wants as much money as possible with little effort put into actually pleasing the fans.
Okay well, I'll look into these "patches" and see what they're like obviously, but the gameplay itself needs to be improved.. we've seen the same recycled force powers in every single game, so what makes it "Unleashed" ?.. maybe the fact that you're unleashed from Vader. I guess that'd be logical.
But, like every other game out for the PS3. This game is far too repetative. The only thing you get to use combo's on (and dont die after one hit) are the advanced troopers (whatever their names are).. Rancors, AT-ST's cant be comboed.. all you do is Lightning, and take cover and have some crappy interactive scene with you cutting it in half, so you dont actually do it yourself.
Also, the AI is a little *****ty, the NPCs know where you are before you enter a room and the NPCs team up before they even know you're an enemy.. they top fightin just to kill you. hmm. I'll obviously get no stars for this cause i'm sayin somethin bad about the game.. but its not like stars matter. So, whatever.
MGS4 is awesome, but its still too much the same as MGS1 except one or two things, and the graphics.. sometimes the AI.
