Already available on Xbox Live, PC and PS3 gamers via PSN will be available to get their hands on this game starting November. Call on your friends to join you for a thrilling team combat of up to 12 players, in three different game play modes: single, online multiplayer and online co-op. Each mode will have four different game types:
- Team Assault
- DeathMatch
- Conquest
- all-new Survival Mode
- Missile Corvette
- Support Frigate
- Bomber
- Fighter
- Flagship

The game has received mixed reviews from critics. IGN's Hilary Goldstein pointed out in his review, "the small amount of maps and lack of game mode customization really hurt Star Trek's longevity. This is a game you can have fun with for a few hours, but beyond that, there's just not enough depth to keep it interesting." He gave it a "passable" rating of 6.1 out of 10.
