Spotted: Resistance 3 billboarded |
Ó
If you look at the billboard close enough, you can see a silhouette of what seems to be New York City, with the Statue of Liberty predominantly imposed on the letter A. Insomniac has not made any mention about a part 3 to this blockbuster franchise, but it sure would be a sweet treat when they do.
The location where these images were taken in Shreveport is said to be frequently used for movie shoots, and goldsoundz is positing that the road he drove on that day might have been used for an upcoming Columbia Pictures film about LA doomsday, "Battle: Los Angeles".

it was bound to happen...everybody who played through R2 knows that. But....
HELLLL YEAHHHH!!!!!!!!
CANT WAIT NOW!!!!!!!!!thi s shyt is gonna be EPIKKKK as you kidz call it...........
I call fake, anyone can put up a billboard. What's up with that feint black box at the bottom. Also, base on the last 3 logos, they only use 1 structure as the main object for the logo, this one has 2. Previous ones were a bridge, the Eiffel Tower, and some random skyscraper and they were all placed on the letter "A". This one has a building placed on the letter "I".
nar, Silver-Tiger is right. if uu completed resistance 2 story mode you'll know that a part-3 is basically inbound. the ending to resistance 2 is 1of the best cliff-hangers ever, i just hope they change the online competitive mode and leave co-op mode alone(resistanc e 2 co-op is sooooooo sick!!!!!!!)
I was hoping Insomniac would have something brand new in development after finishing A Crack In Time. I love Ratchet & Clank but I've got no interest in Resistance at all. The first one was one of five or six games that came with my PS3 and I gave it a go even though I dislike first person shooters immensely, but it wasn't anything that was gonna convert me.
yay part 3 of a mediocre-at-best game
and a bad one I would say
I live in shreveport!!! well, bossier, which is right next to shreveport, just 5 minutes drive from my home... if only i knew where this billboard was, i would go confirm it...
R2,Amazing, epic, single player campaign. 8 player class based, dynamic objective co-op that is probably the best co-op ever created in a game. 60 player squad based competitive mode, numerous other multiplayer game modes, custom games, full party system, scalable maps based on player count. Probably more I'm forgetting.
Mediocre-at-best? Seriously, how many other FPS, or any other type of game for that matter, even come close to the amount of features and insane amounts of gameplay packed in R2? Some people just don't know greatness when they see it.
I was initially skeptical, myself. And when I first played it, it was on rental only. I can't remember why exactly, but a couple of months later, I decided to give it a try with some friends at a LAN party. ...Co-op is a TOTALLY different experience, and I you ever have the pleasure of playing 8-way co-op on this, it is quite near perfection. ...Plus, although I need to get around to playing the single-player campaign myself, pretty much all of my friends completed it (and with one of those 'gotta finish it in a week' sprints, too). Give it a chance. MUCH better than Resistance 1. ...So looking forward to R3, although I have to say that the billboard in that photo doesn't have me very convinced. That could easily be a Photoshop fake, or a physical fake that someone threw up in a few mins to snap a photo and then tore down before the cops came to investigate what they're doing on the side of the highway.
another 360 fanboy ... go play with your boring halo ODST ... now thats a mediocre game
I live close to Shreveport, but that was irrelevant info I had to give everyone.
Kinda cool how they're gonna advertise it like this. I just wanna know what happens to our boy Nate.
You don't even need to play Resistance 2 to know there was a part 3 coming. It's pretty obvious when it comes to big name titles, especially exclusives. Uncharted 3? Of course it will happen.
NarooN you are a f@g and need to die.
Aids all around?

DAMN MAN. Must you always spoil the mood with your opinions about a game whenever I see ur comments? You must really have a bitter taste in games or something.
Resistance 1 IMO is better than Resistance 2 b/c of the deep, intuitive storyline, the enemy AI (the surprising ways they catch you off guard), and so much more. But overall, I do like the way the Resistance series is shaping up.
I own both games, played through single player and co-op, yet another overly hyped game series, they're decent games don't get me wrong, but seriously they're nothing special, and like the Halo series, I REALLY don't get why people shower these games with so much hype..
Looks like a crappy billboard that was only meant to be there for a couple days....they said this area was used for film production, perhaps they were shooting an advert....
adz that is just unnecessary to just tell someone to die
Ban all around?

"The movie is also being produced and distributed by Columbia Pictures, which is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment.
It would appear this is a situation where the billboard advertisement had to be made well in advance of the game's announcement so it could be placed in the film during shooting. "
