Soul Calibur 4 sells over 2 million |

Namco Bandai certainly has a cash cow on their hands. The company recently announced that Soul Calibur 4 (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3) has sold over two million copies in little over a week of sales. For those who don't know about it, the game actually went worldwide only on August 1. The game came out in the US on July 29, followed by Japan on July 31 and Europe on August 1. It's unsurprising that the game sold so quickly, as the awesomeness of the game coupled with the introduction of Star Wars characters makes for a compelling sale.
In any event, we expect more people to pick up the game once a demo is released. Keep checking QJ for updates as they happen.

I would be more interested in how much it sold on every system.
Does that even matter? What matters is that Namco Bandai just got this much richer.
They're identical twins, and the sales figures would not be affected by any differences between the two because most of these numbers are probably coming from launch purchases. You know, that magical time when people are looking for those differences to scream "I TOLD U SO".

the game has two different characters on the different consoles, allusions to the force can be made here...
i for one am interested to know which system has more fighting game fans...
just because these numbers are so close to launch doesn't mean they have any less value...
Give it a couple of minutes...where gonna have xbots and ps3fanbies going on about which version is much better.
