Sony: We've got more up our sleeves

If you think you know what to expect from Sony for this year, think again. They've got some more tricks up their sleeves, and they're all for you. That's part of their thanks for a great 2009!

Jack Tretton of SCEA reassures Sony fans that there will be more in store for everyone apart from the much-awaited AAA titles like God of War III, Heavy Rain and Gran Turismo 5.

"We have an onslaught of new IP and blockbuster games just around the corner... not to mention the many othe games we've been keeping up our sleeves."

He was, of course, careful not to slip any unwanted details lest it ruins the surprise. Oh wait, there was one thing... an unexpected sequel to a PlayStation franchise?

I don't remember the PS2 being like this, but ever since the PSP came out they keep saying: just wait until you see what is coming.
It's the same as the DLC/patching marketing. Heres the basics with a lot of potential - but wait, we couldn't afford to test/develop it fully at the time so we will release it as is and then add later.

the last guardian will be coming out this year, everyone knows that will be epic...also, remember the infamous 2 rumors? maybe its true. We also havnt heard anything about ff vs 13, or a release date for ff14 which is due in 2010 as well. either way ill be left with an empty wallet at the end of march...

I will put my guesses per genre:

Shooter: Either Killzone 3 or Syphon Filter, Getaway 3
RPG: Another Legend Of Dragoon or Dark Cloud
Adventure/Action/Platform a new Sly, Mark Of Kri, Heavenly Sword 2

those are the first that came to mind or the ones I would like to hear them announce

dude i am a huge final fantasy and Legend of Dragoon fan and i know that sony made Legend of Dragoon so if they make a remake 5 people in my family will get a ps3 for Legend of Dragoon and ill preoder Legend of Dragoon since ive been waiting a long time for this

I'm with some of the others in hoping that it's a sequel to Legend of the Dragoon. That was the first RPG that I had ever played, and one of the two that truly got me into gaming. I would love it if Sony brought the story back.
