At Sony's Gamers' Day held at San Francisco just recently, what are we expecting? It's not like we were hoping for some miracle like the LocationFree TV feature to be added in the PS3 capability, or instant Wi-Fi that lets us play any media wherever we are in the world. But okay, granted that these things aren't possible, why should we sit back and let Sony tell us the PS3's limitations for now?Because the PS3 can take things far. In fact, it's been confirmed that Sony has plans for the PS3's universal Wi-Fi connection, letting you play media at any available hotspot in the world. We already know about the backwards compatibility feature that lets us play PSOne games on our PSPs that were downloaded to the PS3. And if you have other uses for your PSP (when integrated fully with the PS3), the next-gen console is likely to support that in the near future.
Other features, such as the LocationFree TV, aren't supported - yet. Whether Sony will change its mind and introduce new features for the PS3 remains to be seen. For the meantime, we're all eyes and ears for further news.
