This is what Sony plans to do to further promote their products and eventually become the top-seller of high end electronics. Folks at Sony didn't disclose how much more money they're putting into marketing; we'll see it though once they begin their campaign to promote the. Included in the list of their high-end electronic products to be marketed extensively is the PS3 and the newest high-definition DVD player.

The PS3's delay may have caused problems for Sony, but it would also be their major concern now to promote the PS3 more. They should create more hype about the delayed PS3's release this November if they want it to surpass Xbox 360 sales (though Sony won't have a problem with their Japan fan base who are certainly not into using the Xbox 360). Sony will also capitalize on the Blu-Ray drive included in the PS3.

What Sony Corp. will be spending in marketing will be compensated by the sales of their products (including their high definition DVD player coming out this July).
