Sony survey asks: Do you want GoW 1 & 2 in God of War 3 CE? |

Sony has sent out a new survey asking gamers what they want in the God of War III Collector's Edition. The survey mentions the usual stuff - an art book, developer commentary, "making of" featurettes - but what really caught my eye was the possibility of getting the first two God of War games on a Blu-ray disc.
That's one of the more novel CE suggestions that Sony included in the survey. Another one is a movie compilation of the cinematics from God of War and God of War II. I guess if the Blu-ray versions of the first two games don't pan out this could serve as a substitute.
Check your inboxes to see if you've received the survey or not. If you did, be a pal and suggest the one about the PS2 games getting released on Blu-ray. Alternatively, you can head straight to the US PlayStation.com website and take the survey. Just use your PSN ID to log in. Here's the rest of the proposed extras:

Awesome idea. Imagine Blu-Ray PS2 compilations... Such as all of the old Burnouts on one disc. Just wow. Those games only took up a max of 4gb, unless it was a dual layered dvd.
A GTA compilation. Even more...
For years now, I've hoped that all the past Resident Evil games would be on 1 disc. I'd buy that in an instant.
All the past Metal Gears would be quite cool too.
And I still think that it would be a great idea.
Bump up the native res to 720p and add 7.1 audio and that would be sick, although I doubt they'd do it.
Kratos statue would be cool.
Going to fill it out rite now.
Of course we would like Gow 1 & 2 in Gow 3. Who doesn't right?
I listed all of them as very important.
High resolution would be better but if they dont have the time it's all good. Dude if the 2 games are added this has got to be the best Special Edition or Limited Edition in the this gen.

as cool as that thought is, most of us fans already have them, so it wont make too much of a difference...i would rather have the cinematic movie contemplation, getting something new, you know?

My friends borrowed mine and probably sold them so I don't have either copy. I have backwards compatible PS3 but I'd rather get those games on Blu-ray.
That survey gave me one of the hardest decisions to have in my life. Except for the T-shirt I wan't it all.
Around 2 years ago or so, my house got broken into and all my games and consoles and whatever got stolen, if sony would release the games on blu ray or even better, the playstation Store. i would grab them in a heartbeat just to replace the 40 PS1 and PS2 games i had. DO IT, DO IT NOW!

definatly want the first two games, even including the psp version would be sweet as well, but if only the first two get added ill be happy. BTW.... just voted 10 on including the first two.

Having versions of GoW 1 & 2 that work on non-PS2-compatible PS3's would be great.
The survey is for fans who are interested in the collectors edition of God Of War 3. It asks us to rate what extras we want to see in that release. The items asked about are listed above, in the article.
Quite possible too.
As said before, PS2 games only need to be individually coded to work with a PS2 emulator. If this indeed does happen, it would mean that a basic/partial code for GPU emulation "might" exist. Of course, not stable enough to be used like the PS1 emulator... which shows its own emulation issues on non-BC units. (e.g. FF VIII SLES-02080)

Good idea, now Game Stop's gonna guilt trip people "you gonna reserve God of War 3?" then when you say no they will say "Well you won't get the collector's edition" then they will ask you if you wanna trade in the PS2 versions of those games, paying you only like $1 per disc. I do like the idea, but they should make this CE available to ALL retailers. P.S. I'd like to see the return of ISOHaven.
What ~~ is saying, is that the devs will wrap the two old games in a self-contained emulator, of some sort, so would work on ALL PS3s.

me having a 60gb cud buy 1 and 2 but having only played gow 1 and coo i wud luv them on a blueray disk i wud 150% buy the ce wud preorder with no questions asked gow 1 is 1 ov my number 1 games n not havin the chance 2 play 2 cuz ov ps2 ****ing up wud b a dream

It'd be interesting if they could attempt to add some trophies on the Blu-ray God of War 1 and 2 if they do add that in the CE. I also think they should separate both that disc and God of War 3. But, who knows. I definitely take it regardless if those games had trophies. Also, I'd love the Necklace. I'm curious to see what it would be? Would it be kratos or the Chains of Athena(or Chaos). Either Way Necklace, and the two games on Blu-ray would be a killer CE for God of War 3. Especially since the PS3 systems nowadays don't have PS2 BC. I rated 10 on that and necklace. The others are scattered around with numbers. PLEASE SONY, SMS, MAKE IT HAPPEN.
beings that there are no trophies for any ps1 or ps2 game out there, its highly unlikely that if they release those two they will have trophies. They reserve trophies for ps3 games only because its the most uptodate technology and it would be to much of a headache to go back in and code in trophies for a ps2 game, if its even possible. Trophies are overrated at the moment anyways, you get nothing for them currently. When they release games like hannah montannah or however its spelled, and they include trophies i laugh my ass off, no matter what they include in crap games like that it still dont warrant a purchase, unless of course your like this one dude i know on psn that has over 2100 trophies, 100% hannah montannah trophies and everything. His profile claims he is the number one trophy hunter. Thats someone with way to much time on their hands.... can anyone say addicted?
