The team at Sony's Santa Monica Studio isn't resting on its laurels even with God of War III's release looking ever closer (it's out next week!). According to John Hight, the studio's director of product development, they already have a couple of teams working on new projects.

Yes, projects. Hight says that one concept team is working on something short term -- the studio's next game, basically -- while another is focusing on a more long-term project, something that should come out "years down the road". Check out the video interview below for more from Hight.

Although that is true, they said even though God of War 3 was the end of the story, that it wasn't the end of the series. It could be another hand-held God of War.

Uhh. Yeah. And they have three on the PS3 now so they owe us two more on the handheld. ;)

PSP game was made by Ready at Dawn not Sony Santa Monica. I bet they are working on the Warhawk sequel/Starhawk in the short term and long term is perhaps a new god of war game for the PS3, but different genre maybe? MMO as a spartan soldier in the world of GoW, meh could be a new IP too.

short-term project = new game form Thatgamecompany . After Flower I'm really lloking forward to that.

long-term project = Twisted Metal PS3. I'm sure of it. At least I hope so :D

# That game would belong to EatSleepPlayphiyuku 2010-03-10 19:28
most likely. As that is David Jaffe's new company which has an exclusive contract with Sony for 3 games. And it is the company that made Twisted Metal Head On. And that doesn't count as an exclusive. So still 3 more exclusives from EatSleepPlay.

May be the long term one is probably something with 3D and the Arc controller technology... Just my guess, might be GOW with that technology
