Microsoft announced yesterday that Kinect has already sold 2.5 million units since its launch earlier this month. Now, it's Sony's turn to show off their numbers - how did the PlayStation Move do? As you might expect, it's a bigger number for Move. But that's not the whole story.
According to the press release, Sony Moved 4.1 million units worldwide. With 41.6 PS3s sold, there's about one Move for every ten PS3s out there. Sony notes that this number makes their motion controller launch a success, plus it gives them positive momentum to sell more during the holidays and as the calendar moves to 2011.

Så Move has a point there, im waiting for the bette games, as i already have a wii.
But if they can get good supported games out, it could be the Wii HD people have been wanting.

The distance to my couch is 8 feet. What happens then is you have to stand up against the couch. All I have to play with is 2 feet. Clearly that's no good for the average Kinect title.
So I couldn't use it if I wanted to.

I guess if you want the real percentage of PS owners have a move, you would have to cut those numbers by quite a bit. Looks like kinect, an overpriced webcam, is the one with the better launch, at least for now.

i was thinking the same thing though. i think most people bought at least 2 move controllers, so i wonder how they calculate those numbers...

At least with Kinect you can later just plug it into your computer.

Just keep in mind that just because you like a company doesn't mean that their marketing department is above using fudged numbers to encourage fantardism on either side of the fence.
Just keep it civil for now. These early numbers are fairly meaningless. We'll see if the hardcore crowd get into it by mid next year and proper sales numbers start showing up.
Doesn't help that we don't get the NPDs anymore though. That just flat-out sucks.
