Sony reports 16 million users for PlayStation Home

home When was the last time you logged into Home? Whether you're into the service or not, there are apparently millions that check in regularly. Speaking at the Digital Media Conference, Peter Dille mentioned that the virtual world has about 16 million users.

The average duration per session, according to Sony's marketing VP, is around 70 minutes. That's probably more time than I've spent at Home. Total. "And, users are spending money, which is a big reason why we’re doing it [PlayStation Home]," Dille said.

Dille also talks about further improvements to PlayStation Home, like the addition of app-like services. "Later this year we’re going to be introducing a music service that we don’t have today," he said. He may be referring to Qriocity, which was already announced for Europe, but not SCEA.

Yup HOME needs what is already late to the party Custom Sound tracks, Who want's to listen to Brittney Spear's Song's Hit Me baby one more time or Oops I did it again over and over again in HOME and that is not even the full video of it ?.I rather listen to Lady Gaga, Ke$ha etc or Trance dance music in HOME or being able to listen to my own music thank you very much!

u have that many ps3s?, every ps3 counts as 1, , they see your mac on your ps3 and, they will know how many accounts you have

Sometimes I enjoy going in there and seeing what's new because they are getting loads of surprising things all the time. Kind of neat how they put weird games into the environments. Regular users can notice that I don't go in often because I have lame boring free outfits instead of paying for premium stuff.

The US HOME need's an update most of the time And come on HOME Play Ground? They tried to emulate the 80's not enough close Sony lol..But who know's maybe this will make HOME and the PSN much better then it is now!

You play video games and you say Home is for people with no life, sigh! Put down your controller or stop watching tv because it's for people with no life. If you don't watch tv or you don't play games but you comment this message, then you too need a life, heck we all need a life! But seriously, it's not what you play or do, that makes you lifeless. it's the time you put into it. So gamers keep playing, whether it's Home or Call of duty just dont put 60 + hours to it, that's a sign of no life.
