Aside from the hefty paychecks, the charmed life and all that jazz, celebrities are almost always entitled to some swags, during parties and award shows. And since celebs are hard to please, Sony is stepping up big time in an effort to revolutionize the gift bag.

As N'gai Croal reports, during the Super Bowl celebrations at the Playstation Oasis at the Raleigh Hotel in Miami, stars like Ludacris, Tom Brady, Serena Williams, John Legend, among many others were the recipients of a Sony gift bag. The swags? A 60 GB Playstation 3 and a limited edition 25th anniversary Nike Air force one sneaker.

That's not where the fun ended, each of the goodies are laser-etched with picturesque designs and could be further personalized with a computer-aided real-time laser etching of the star's choice. Here are some of the pics for you to drool over, hopefully Sony would also offer these intricately-designed consoles to the public.

the people who can actually afford to just buy a PS3 on whim are instead being given one

I hate that too, but the designs are really nice. If they were readily available I would buy the yellow one for sure.

» Yup

Yes it is,you say it has a Blu Ray player but to get that to show a decent picture it HAS to have an HD TV etc, and we all know that HD TV type TVs are as good as useless at showing the normal TV broadcasts that we will all be receiving for years to come so in effect that HD TV is just an overpriced monitor that only the better off can afford to add to the already expensive console.

Hey dummy, standard TV looks like standard TV on an HDTV, not worse. I know I have one and you made it clear you don't. Besides normal, local TV channels are in hd over the air for free.

You are an idiot, were you mad when you got your first playstation becasue it looked better with a/v cables, but your tv only has coaxial? you were probly saying that coaxial looks good enough for you, huh.

It's a "next-gen" system, I guess you think it should use the same media as last gen (ala xbox 1.5, I only call it 1.5 because they are thinking for making version2 already) and not have HDMI. I know which console you own.

I'm not "better off" but I do get an income tax refund, if you had a job you would get one too.

Then you could use it to buy yourself an HDTV, and then maybe stop whinning.

» rich?

Really? It costs $600. I guess the HDDVD add-on for the Xbox360 is only for the rich huh. I guess that's a rich mans peripheral.

I guess furniture is just for rich people to since its hard to find for under $600. You are a clown, it's more than you are WILLING to spend, but it's not only for the rich.

What you said may make sense because every time I get on Xbox live I am harrassed by ignorant rednecks and racists. If playstation is the rich mans console I guess it makes since that all the trailer trash in North America has Xboxes.
