Gran Turismo HD - Image 1This is a little follow up on our previous report about Gran Turismo HD and the highly elusive Gran Turismo 5. It would be remembered a couple of days ago, Polyphony Digital mentioned that a prologue of GT5 will be available as of autumn 2007 via "remote loading".

This time, Sony of Europe pours in more diesel to the hype engine as it hints that fans will get something more from the racing series. According to the company,

A big year for Gran Turismo starts with a free download for PS3 owners. We can't say too much right now, but it's going to be a big year for this title. Gran Turismo HD Concept is just the beginning.

Just the beginning, eh? We hope Sony and Polyphony indeed deliver all the things they've been promising the fans. The original Gran Turismo title was one of the best selling games, if not the best, for PSOne. An excellent follow-up can definitely help the PS3 as well.

It's about time GT went online...

Racing a real human and a million times more exciting than racing a computer. I hope that they don't try and make another gt without online or there is going to be serious backlash from consumers.

Sony give it a rest with the bait and switch

You have cired wolf with the Gran Tourismo games we just don't believe you anymore more. Tell you what, when you get a game on the shelves THEN I will get excited again. Until then you can promise the moon but I won't believe it till I see it. By the way, I am still bummed that you left GT PSP on the launch list all the way up until the unit was launched and then removed it, never to be seen again. Fooled me once, not twice, sorry.
