Sony Ericsson making PlayStation Phone... kinda

It's not exactly the PlayStation Phone (or PSP phone) that's been speculated and talked about for some time now, but Sony Ericsson is apparently taking steps towards adding some interaction between their products and Sony's PlayStation 3 console.

According to Reuters, a new phone called the Aino will allow users to manage media stored on their PS3s. It's like Remote Play for a phone instead of the PSP. Those in Europe can also use it to enjoy the PlayTV service.

There are limitations, though, as the Aino can't access HD video or play any games on the PS3. While the latter isn't surprising, the former could be remedied by further iterations of this "PlayStation phone".

The Aino is expected to become available in the fourth quarter. Here's a video. The PS3 remote demo starts at the 1:08 mark.

Put it on the iPhone. Yuck. While it certainly is a popular phone, the iPhone is not a good phone. Not even a great phone. Its a passable phone at best. This phone is in that category too it seems. They should have put it on their Xperia, that is a sexy phone and it runs Windows Mobile. Too bad this phone slides up that killed it for me. I'm gonna stick with the Touch Pro 2 when that comes out. That phone will actually be worth the price tag (unlock Apples laughable status symbol)

I'll stick to my to my LG viewty.This phone don't play hd video's and u can't play ps3 games it will be a was of money if u have a psp already.If u don't own a psp get one it will save u money then getting this phone.It may go for $300 or $400 anyway.

I doesn't matter if they release a Playstation phone (although I'd love to see it released) or release remote play on the iphone, I'd love to have this feature on my phone so I can access all my media via remote play imagine being able to stream all your music and movies from your phone via 3g

another Sony Ericsson phone to choose from, *****. Its between the C905, Xperia X1, Idou, and now the Aino. they really are stepping up and making some great phones!
