Sony denies Sept 25 God of War III release, to be announced on E3 |

Talk about a quick response. We haven't written about the Play UK product listing yet, and already Sony's dousing the flames. See, Play UK's online portal has a temporary product listing for God of War III (see screencap above), and in it clocked a September 25, 2009 release date for the game.
As Spong suggests, this may have been a case of over-enthusiasm. An SCEE spokesperson has contacted them, saying that the release date for GoW3 isn't set in stone yet (other than an optimistic projected 2009 release window) and that they'll be making announcements about it by E3 2009.
We haven't confirmed a release date for GOW3 yet, we should have more details on this at E3. We're asking Play to remove that now as well.
So there you have it! All eyes on E3! (...if they aren't already.)

i love god of war!! Been a fan since early ps2 dayz!! Cant wait 4 numba 3!!
gow games r really fun i hope they do realese it soon. im buying it. :)
at gamestop we have the shipping date listed at like March 13 2010. and it isnt listed as being street dated. which more than likely means that no one knows when it will be released, because as most if not all of us know, GOW 3 will be street dated
