Just a few hours ago, we made mention of the PalGN site's details regarding Sony Computer Entertainment's (SCE) upcoming SingStar title for the PlayStation 3 (PS3).According to one of the previous reports, game songs could be downloaded via SingStar's SingStore online in-game shop, with each track costing around UK₤ 1.49 (US$ 3).
This price range doesn't appear to be the case, however, as a Sony spokesman stated that "The SingStore prices on the site are wrong. We haven't announced anything on the prices yet."
Th announcement does not seem to conflict with the other details that have already been revealed regarding SingStar for the PS3, such as Phil Harrison's previous announcement that the game will allow players to upload videos and photos of their performances via the SingStar site. There was also an SingStar pamphlet reported to have been released to Australian retailers, which details that the PS3 SingStar pack will come with 30 songs.
The game is being prepared for a June 5 launch in the U.S. this year, followed by a September 7 release in Europe. For now, we'll just await official announcements for more solid confirmations.
