I haven't personally heard any, but apparently there are some rumors going around that Sony Online Entertainment's The Agency (PS3, PC) has been canceled. We certainly haven't heard anything about the game in a while, but according to SOE president John Smedley, the game hasn't been shelved at all.
"There's this rumor going around that we're going to cancel it -- that's ridiculous," Smedley told Joystiq during the Austin game Developers Conference. He explained that they're just keeping the FPSMMO under wraps to ensure a quality product.
"No," Smedley added, "we're going full-bore towards it. We're simply keeping it under wraps more because we want to make it the best possible game we can. I'm an FPS player first and foremost, so we're going to get that game right, period."
As for the release, Smedley wouldn't commit to anything since in his own words he's "been wrong like three times with that game." Next year was the closest he could come to giving out a release date.
