SOCOM: Confrontation Patch details for v1.30: Awards and Trophies |
Ó
Enjoying v1.20 patch update for SCEA's SOCOM: Confrontation much? Good, cos now that tthe server load and stability issues have been addressed, we can get down and dirty with the good stuff. The SOCOM team is reportedly setting their eyes on the next must-have updated, version 1.30, with the intention of fixing several more features (yes, including those trophies and SOCOM: Confrontation awards), squashing a bit more bugs, as well as respond to some requests from you guys.
Listed below are some of the items planned to be included in the next patch. Do note that they're warning as early as now that some of the items may be delayed to a later updated, depending on whether or not their development will make it in time for the scheduled launch.

some in-game music for this game... Its way too quiet in my opinion. I guess trophies is a good start though. I noticed theres a huge lack of in-game music, especially in shooters. The only shooter that has it at the moment is Warhawk I believe. I don't see why these close to the chest type of games that have been coming out lately don't include this stuff from the start.
If you have music in a shooting game, then how are you suppose to hear those who are sneaking up behind you. If you want music, why don't you just turn on the radio or use an Ipod.
Well in Socom the sound really doesn't help at all. It'll sound like someone is shooting from across the map and they'll be right behind a wall or something. So if I'm going to get shot in my back it really doesn't matter cause it'll happen anyways. Oh and I usually listen to instrumentals so it wont get me too distracted.
Now I wouldn't use an iPod because I don't want something stuck in my ear. I wouldn't use my radio because its poor quality and usually plays music I don't wanna listen to. My sound system for my ps3 sounds great and I'd rather use that.
Don't see why people wouldn't want it as an option. Some will find a use for it and some won't, thats how it is.
the blood curdling screaming like that of Bad Company it adds to the realism of warfare nice patch though cant wait
