Marvel vs Capcom 2 on the PSN and XBL is heating up with some serious combo strings. Before any of you guys can bust some thumbs though, let's ask ourselves... when will it be released anyway?Early press releases and the teaser trailer/poster locked it with a summer '09 release. Today, we hear of a projected date: end of June, or so a financial report from Marvel supposes.
Among a list of various Marvel Entertainment projects (movies, TV series, games) currently in the pipeline, MvC2 is "scheduled for June 29, 2009 release."
Again, I stress that this is merely a projected release date, simply because neither XBL or PSN update on a Monday. It could be that the game will go live on XBL and PSN on the week of the 29th. Right on the height of summer!
As an aside, if you guys check out the financial report (see Via link), you can see projected release dates for other games like Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, The Punisher: No Mercy (PSN), and the kid-friendly Marvel Super Hero Squad.
