well first off, i own a 360 and was considering getting a ps3 down the road but this game is looking really good. Smooth ass framerate and 40 people online. I dont really care if its not innovative or whatever, it still looks pretty badass.
I'm quite glad that this is a launch title for the PlayStation 3 (And that I got my PS3 and this game pre-ordered at EBGames =P). It's very rare that we get to see such a nice looking game at the launch of any console. So far it's shaping up to be one of the best recent FPS I've seen. And with Insomniac's history of amazing weaponry in their games, I do not feel like I will be shafted when this launches on November 17th.
This game makes me feel like an idiot for not thinking of preording a PS3 in time. oh well ill get one in due time
this games looking more amazing each time new videos are released. too bad i cant pre-order my ps3 cuz i dont have any money :( preorders in canada start on monday (the 16th)
i really cant stand fps...it kinda worked out cuz im a sony and nintendo fan so it really doesnt matter....but wow...resistance fall of man looks great...its gonna be the first fps that i actualy buy!

Ok I'm sad now lol. Everyone have to ready up be4 playing. THIS IS A FPS and readying up 40 players and crap wil ltake a long time be4 playing. That so retarded that you have to ready up. That what could put this game DOWN BIG TIME.
again i'm not a FPS and Fighting game can of guy. i like RPG and Action Adventure game...that's my preference. But seeing this video clip its well worth it. I just hope that they categories those players using 56k, DSL, and CABLE so it there would be minimal lag in gameplay. And they mentioned that when got hit, it doesn't take a lot of clips to kill you....it's more like the SOCOM game were 1 or few shots you can get killed instantly. more realistic just like Battlefield. so if you FPS this is the best game available on launch day. How about CALL DUTY 3?
Those levels are massive.. and yes smooth frames thats amazing.. i dont think i seen one hickup that in that whole video.. good stuff !

Vietone you are wrong Blackhawk down for xbox 1 had 50 players PDZ had the ability but they felt 32 worked better.
This is still going to be a title I am going to buy. It makes me want to play PLAYSTATION 3 more, i am glad there is smooth framerate with online play.
around 75 percent have to be ready until the game starts, its like that in most games. So around 30/40 people have to be ready, then the gae will start.
So it's the PS3 answer to Halo. Cool. The multiplayer looks tight :)
You're right, Blackhawk Down for the XBox did support up to 50 players online. So much for all your bragging Vietone, since the number of players supported online is not just about technology, but about what the developers feel will work best for the game.
The load time for the game (online part anyways) isn't very long. The game looks like a HUGE hit for this system and will be one of the greatest online games for it, socom has a real competition

Wow. This game looks kick ass, I hope there are plenty of people online so that you dont have to wait as long in matchmaking as you do in Halo.

I attended the 2006 Digital Life expo on saturday and let me say a few things. First off I have my PS3 preordered already and I am excited for it, but it makes no sense that PS3 won best of show. They only had 2 games showing (excluding a video with like 20 seconds of footage for about 10 games) NBA 07 and Resistance fall of man. NBA 07 looked ok too bad it was not playable. The only game playable was Resistance. And Resistance was abit of a letdown. graphically it had the best draw distance I have ever seen in a video game but unfortunatley that went downhill as you approached things. The textures looked downright horrible. The tires were square, the tires in Halo 2 looked better. And you NEVER saw more than 4 enemies on screen at once. While I am pretty sure there can be more as I have seen in videos on IGN.com. Other than thatthe game looked pretty solid and played nicely. Unfortunatelty they only had one Resistance display so you could imagine how long the wait to play it was. BUT IT STILL WAS NOT ASLONG AS THE WAIT TO PLAY WII. I will be the first to say that the wii games looked like crap. Madden on the original XBOX looks better than the WII version. but it was a hell of a lot of fun to play. Also you will not believe how small the system looks. The pictures do not show you the actual size. It is about the size of a DVD drive for your pc, YES THAT SMALL. Microsoft had a luklewarm showing. For some reason someone thought it was a good idea to put the 360 games on crappy Zenith standard definition televisions but the XBOX live arcade games on high definition samsung's, that person should be fired. Splinter Cell was the best 360 game atthe show. oops,my boss is coming, i'll submit more later. Sh0wstopper
