Stranglehold - Image 1

Inspector Tequila's back, and this time he means business - that is, dealing with criminals with the business end of a firearm in this screenshot update of Midway Games' Stranglehold for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. We get you the skinny on the latest shoot-em-up that not only boasts the best slow-mo system since Max Payne, but also a body count that's sure to rise above any third-person shooter out today.

In this new batch of screenshots, we get a sneak peek at what looks like the game's multiplayer feature - as it's obvious that it's not Inspector Tequila we're looking at from behind (unless he got himself a haircut all of a sudden). One thing that also clues us in is what appears to be a kill indicator on your HUD, in the form of a skull with a number beside it. Handy, and fun.

What's clear from these screenshots - besides the fact that the game's looking quite sharp - is that the other players will have full advantage of Tequila's ability to use the background for some impressive bullet-related stunts. We can only wonder how they're using the Tequila Time ability in multiplayer, though - as it's one of the main reasons that Max Payne, the first game to feature Bullet Time, did not have multiplayer in its game modes.

Certainly a very good Saturday Night Special-sized screenshot batch. Updates as we get them!

Wow, this game looks horrible.

And not just the graphics but the gameplay looks retarded. Why are they hanging from Pterosaur bones?

skidz at least has a good eye. ROFL. some noob said this was running on the Unreal Tournament engine, which is outdated by 3 generations. ROFL. as i said, it looks like a vamped up GTA3 engine and that's it.

GUARANTEED FLOP: movie-video game, crappy graphics, 3rd Person Shooter

I agree with everything except the "... 3rd person shooter" bit you said Spectre... Let's not forget there are lots of TPS that are quite popular and well made...

Btw don't call me xbot or whatever -.- I've been defending sony with all I've got, however, Sony needs some serious refining if they want to win the "console battle" that's my take on it. I personally own a PS3 ONLY. No x360 or whatever, I actually love the Ps3, but it needs a way bigger, better game-base before something actually comes out of it.

This is just one of those games that's a fun rental and that's it. The demo was fun to play and I think I can burn through the game quickly and enjoy it, but it's not anywhere near $60. The graphics for the 360 were last-gen at best with washed out colors everywhere.
