In a time when even good PlayStation 3 news goes bad, a PS3 shopkeeper was spotted and photographed holding the console box attempting to sell the system at a much lower price than other stores. According to witnesses, the man had no luck in his effort and no excitement was in the air.

Comments from the post containing this photo criticized the move Sony took in its launch as the electronics giant gave away 100 42-inch HD TVs to the first buyers. Most of the message boards are unquotable in this blog.

Sony PS3s are now on sale in Edgware road in London where low-priced electronics and foreign cuisine is available. If you want to read the discussion in the message boards with regard to this photo, follow the read URL.

wow... looks like sony has about as much "brand loyalty" in europe as they do in the u.s. these days. *que the "how you killed your brand" theme*

Wow the European and Austrailan launches were worse than even I thought! That has to be embarassing. I think there may be a price reduction much sooner. Sony's only hope is blu ray succeeding since they ruined playstation for it. Without PS3 sales in Europe and only 30,000 true blu ray players sold, they might have a rough time with that too.

Same here in Sweden! Most stores have a good stock left. I think it's only MediaMarkt which kept the price 60Euro below others which might have outsold it's stock. Myself is waiting for one of the following choices (which ever comes first)

- You can launch ISO's

- A significant price reduction (at least 150-200Euro)

Good try Sony! Better luck in the future...

I just went into best buy here in the US over the weekend and they didnt have any 60GB consoles in stock. Besides even though consoles are in stock here in the US, it doesnt mean that theyre not selling.

Btw, that picture could be of a shop in the middle east cus there is arabic writing all over the place.

Do you think that maybe he's just in a district in an english speaking country that just has an Arabic district? Kind of like Chinatown or Little Korea here in the states?
