Silent Hill 5 Rumors! |

There's nothing quite like a brand new juicy squishy rumor to get the old noggin a rolling, and here's one that comes from the Team Xbox forums concerning Konami's next installment of the popular Silent Hill series.
-The game will have a next gen release, all signs indicate it'll be coming to the PS3, but it's likely the 360 will not be left out in the cold.
-It'll be developed by an American R&D team.
-Gameplay will be influenced by the highly successful and popular Resident Evil 4.
Let's look at each one of these rumors in greater detail shall we?
First, the fact that it's coming to PS3 and Xbox 360, was there ever even any doubt on this matter? Next!
Second, and far more interesting, is the fact that development will be overseen by a totally different team this time around, an American team. While some are already sounding the series death knell, let's remember that the Silent Hill team has been working on this series since 1998! It's probably a good thing their moving on, hopefully to something fresh and new. Also, Konami's not stupid, Silent Hill is one of their more high profile videogame series, and they'll do everything the can to continue as such.
Third, the Resident Evil 4 style gameplay rumor. I'm sort of torn on this one. On the one hand, RE:4 was awesome, and I would love to see more of that please, on the other, isn't that what Resident Evil 5 is for? And then there's the fact that when Silent Hill originally came out, it distinguished itself and created a whole sub-genre in survival horror by not being Resident Evil.
To sure, we haven't been able to confirm any of this ourselves, so do please treat it as a rumor.

man this is some weird posts, lol. anyway: @2: stop this, typos are not the end of the world, and anyway he just ment what he said, you're imaginating thing with your "correction", anyway I'm not even from US, so my first language is not even enlish, and I don't think I'm the only one here, so just SHUT UP! and for this topic, I think the resident evil 4 gameplay was really great, I know the "copy the best" senario is really original, but anyway, I wouldn't mind re5+sh5 with the re4 gameplay! =D they could be different in the game in itself, not only the gameplay make a difference. I mean, all the old platformers had around the same controls, but they weren't the same at all!

I've been a SH fan for a while now (and I'm not ashamed to admit I didn't think the movie was half-bad), but I gotta say this: Silent Hill is becoming the next Resident Evil; by which I mean that it's becoming too repetitive, and I think that SH4 jumped the shark. But that's my opinion. Hopefully SH will experience a similar 'revival' like RE did with RE4 (but without copying RE4).
In my opinion I don't think SH is ANYTHING like RE because it's two different themes. RE obviously deals with viruses that turn people into zombies & SH has just demonic beings...see any relation? NO?? OK. [lol] On a better note, I can't wait until SH5 is released. I have beaten SH4 & I thought that one was better than all the others, in my opinion.
I've got all the games, stragedy guides and even the soundtracks......I've beaten "all" 4 games and can't wait for the next installment!!!!!!!
