Ó

Tennis, anyone?

This article's primary purpose is to tell you that Virtua Tennis 3 is officially coming to the PSP, Xbox 360, and PS3. Sega said so in an official press release. We've heard since August 20-something that Sega's Virtua Tennis 3 is going multiplatform to the PSP, to the Xbox 360, and to the PS3. Now it's been confirmed that it will launch simultaneously for those platforms (including the PC) in the first quarter of 2007.

And here are the big names who will soon be whacking balls on your screen:
  • Amelie Mauresmo
  • Maria Sharapova
  • Venus Williams
  • Martina Hingis
  • Nicole Vaidisova
  • Lindsay Davenport
  • Daniela Hantuchova
  • Rafa Nadal
  • Andy Roddick
  • Tim Henman
  • Lleyton Hewitt
  • James Blake
  • Mario Ancic
  • Gael Monfils
  • Taylor Dent
  • David Nalbandian
  • Sebastien Grosjean
  • Juan Carlos Ferrero
  • Tommy Haas
  • and last but not least, Roger Federer
There will also be 10 minigames and there might be support for a multiplayer mode of up to four players (doubles, anyone?).

Why dont the big tennis games have Murray running alongside Henman? He's become ten times the player Henman ever was :P

You guys mention Dreamcast, but don't you guys know there's a PSP version that was released last year? It's almost identical to the Dreamcast version; only difference is the roster and new minigames. But otherwise the same game.

This new iteration of Virtua Tennis will definitely look good and play good on all console and handhelds. I'm going to get this on release day.

they should be doing a Wii version, unless of course they know they can't beat Wii Sports for playability.

Why isn't Andre Agassi in? It would have been awesome to play with him, and he just recently stopped playing, IMO it's a shame they didn't include him.

This is one of the multiplatform games that show how much better PS3 is when compared to X360.

PS3 version already looks better than X360 version, and it isn't finished yet, can't wait to play you guys online.
