SCEJ announces Silver 40 GB PS3 for March - Image 1It looks like the rumors were true after all. Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) has recently sent out a press wire announcing that they're preparing to launch a Satin Silver PlayStation 3 by next month. This silver PS3 will also carry a 40 GB HDD, and will retail for around Ã‚Â¥ 39,800 (US$ 371).

Alongside the silver PS3, Sony further announced that it will also be introducing a silver Dual Shock 3 controller for a cost of Ã‚Â¥ 5,500 (US$ 51)

Both the new PS3 and the Dual Shock Controller will be available by March 6 in Japan. We'll let you know if Sony announces the availability of either for the territories of North America and Europe.

» I got a better idea

Go online and buy a PS3 skin. That way, if you get sick of a certain color, you only spent $15 and its easy to change to a new one.
