It won't be a big surprise if I said that PS3 owners in Europe feel a bit left out of the PSN scene. Fact is, the US PSN has more goodies than its European counterpart. To this, SCEE assures the European gaming community that they're doing their best to get more titles on the PSN.

Publishers all made the same remark, blaming Sony for the independently-run retail hub of every region. “Sony’s process for getting titles on PSN varies in North America, Europe, Japan and the rest of Asia”, said Hothead Games COO Joel De Young.

It's not as bad as it sounds. There are 78 PSN Originals in the US Store, 65 of those are in the Euro Store. If we filter out the understandable American exclusives such as NFL Score Charts and American TV Show-based games, only nine games remain exclusive to the US PSN.
  • Cash Guns Chaos
  • Cuboid
  • Lumines Supernova
  • Penny Arcade Adventures: Episode One and Two
  • PowerUp Forever
  • SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Confrontation
  • Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
  • Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars
If you look at that list, however, we see that Euro PSN misses out on a few big titles, especially the HD Remix of Street Fighter II Turbo. When asked to comment on the matter, Sony Europe's PSN PR Manager replied, "this has been an ongoing issue for us, and we're doing our best to resolve it."

F*ck the games, I want the video store, how hard can that be?

"Ongoing issue"? I'm so sick of this lame duck division of Sony - TELL US WHAT'S GOING ON!

It's like dealing with a bunch of bloody politicians. After their recent performance I don't trust anything SCEE says (or doesn't say) at this point. Absoloutely sodding useless bunch of in-bred mutants. How they get away with this shockingly inept behaviour is totally beyond me - come on Sony, sack these muppets and get a management team in place that can perform.

Utterly pathetic.

try living in Canada

we may be part of the North American PSN but we dont even have video store yet and that went up a while ago in the states. I believe if its the PSN then it should all have the same content no matter where you live.

so true..

word

as a UK resident, im sick and tired of SCEE's pathetic comments and performance, as the region which charges the most for the console, the games etc and they treat us like ****. Even if they dont want to be a good company and treat their customers well, dont they realise they are missing out on a tremendous cash in?? :S

mmm

content isnt the biggest problem, its the *****in navgation and thats directly due to the *****s who manage psne,

honestly would it kill to copy SCEA layout, i dont theyd kick up a fuss

agreed, but

...it actually IS hard for the Europe Store, as quite a number of different languages and cultures must be taken into consideration as well as variing laws from yountry to country (mainly copyright, age restrictios etc)

I think its not technical issues that keep us europeans waiting until "Late 2009"

Still want the store badly, though.
