Gran Turismo 5 Prologue - Image 1Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has moved quickly to quash rumors that the Blu-ray version of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue will carry a 45 Euro price tag when it launches in Europe.

IGN reports that apart from denying the rumored 45 Euro price point, a spokesperson from SCEE has stated that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue won't be free. According to the SCEE spokesperson, prices for both the Blu-ray and PlayStation Network versions of the game have yet to be agreed upon.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is, as the name suggests, a teaser for Polyphony Digital's upcoming PlayStation 3 title Gran Turismo 5. The game features 50 cars, 5 tracks and 16-player online multiplayer support. Gran Turismo 5 Prologue is currently scheduled for a European release later this year.

ok...

I'm agree they need to charge.. for the online play and all... but they can't charge more than 15 because everyone is looking the prologe like a demo... is not a demo but everyone has this idea in mind even if is a full game...

in a sense a demo

yet not. and 15 dlls does seem reasonable. as it's more than a demo, and it's GT5! :D

My problem

is that it doesn't sound really complete. It sounds exactly like they described it, "a teaser." When I think teaser, I think of just giving me a taste, and annoying me completely because I have to wait for the real deal to come out. Heck, would I pay one cent for a teaser of even the best movie ever made? No way. Not to mention that once you get online a few months from now with the prologue, anyone with decent common sense will have fled to the real game.

Um...

I wouldn't get it if I had to pay for it. It's a demo, a beta, trial version, shareware version, whatever you want to call it. I understand that they've put 132123 hours into the game, and asking for a little to get a little is fine. BUT, it's not the full game. If you want it to be commercially successful, release it for FREE and give out many demos. Take a page out of M$ book on what they're doing with Halo 3, and you'll see the world of difference. I wouldn't buy a demo, thanks.

...

If they price it, then it should be no more than $30 bucks. You get the entire game engine and features but just not all the content like the cars and tracks.
