SCEE apologizes for GoW II party animal cruelty

In light of recent criticism being directed at their God of War II promo party in Athens, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has further stated that they did not condone animal cruelty.

"Sony Computer Entertainment Europe does not in any way, shape or form condone cruelty or mistreatment of animals," the SCEE spokesman stated. "Sony Computer Entertainment Europe takes the sensitivities of the general public and issues of animal welfare very seriously and is sorry for any offence or distress the event or perception of this event may have caused."

At the said promo party, UK's Daily Mail tabloid ran an article stating that the event's centerpiece was a "freshly decapitated" goat, as indicated in Official PlayStation Magazine. Sony has since apologized for the incident, and has promised to pull out OPM's latest issues from news stands. There is still no word regarding the company's stand on the boobies also sighted at the promo party. Just keep posted in case concerned animal rights groups (i.e. PETA) decide to come back with a reply.

This is not a big deal...

I have no problem with the dead goat in any way shape or

form. Only problem I really have is that Daily Mail made a

big issue about it blowing everything way out of

proportion and sensoring the image. Only reason why

SONY is apologizing is because it was taken as a negitive.

I don't believe SONY should have apologized and that they

should have stood their ground. Daily Mail is a bunch of

twit douch bags for this and rang up there with Jack-ASS

Thopson on my list of people that need to Dye their shirts

red. Yet again, leave it to the sissy whiners to screw up

something thats no big deal. Further more, the boobies

should have been left alone un-sensored. I am really

pissed about this whole whiney and sensoring issue.

Al-Qaeda needs to visit Daily Mail to show them what

real news is all about. Boycott those sissy F a g s over

at Daily Mail.

This is a non rated site and therefore you are obliged to make it suitable for all audiences, it is not a matter of personal taste, There might be some people who prefer seeing them and some who don't. I personally do not care but I think the goat stunt was stupid, the idea of almost naked gals handing drinks is sexist beyond reason and I think they deserved the generated hate. + what the hell does daily mails sexual preference matter to you or the event, It's really pathetic how everyone uses gay/*****/homo as a negative substitute meaning anything but what they really are, not even starting about the word gay itself.

Anyway, cheers blood and boobies galore to you.

Furthermore, although this has been posted all around, it still smells fake as it is a really unresponsible stunt to pull and think that it would go unnoticed, hell it is a press party.

MEH! The world has gone mad, companies are stooping to many new low levels to gain consumers. Controversy always stirs up interest. Interest brings with it residual income. Interest also eventually brings trust back. The world is crazy, just accept that and you'll be fine.

Here's what I think about this matter...

1) The idea of the goat was very bad. But the marketing guys always have crappy ideas anyway

2) The reaction to this story is ridiculously exagerated. Ithey didn't sacrifice a goat during the party, they just bought an already dead goat and they used it in their party. Yes, it was a crappy idea, maybe they shouldn't have done that, but there's no reason to make so much noise about this.

3) Tabloids SUCK! Those "newspapers" shouldn't even exist. The only thing that sucks more than tabloids is... the people who read them. And there's millions of them. Really sad.
