Damn thats a nice looking list. Killzone 2, Uncharted and GOW III are already sold for me but I'll be anxiously awaiting more news about MAG and Heavy Rain. I also agree that if all these games do come out this year this will be the lineup to beat.

This is the 2009 line-up, not the 2010 and beyond.

i thought gow3 was coming in 2010 but wow. not to sound like a fanboy but what microsoft exclusives could beat this line up. hopefully ninty releases new zelda to make this year even better

God of War 3 will definitely not be released at the end of the year. This is a Projected 2009 line-up meaning it's something their shooting for, but most likely will not happen for God of War 3. It makes sense for Sony, SMS to take their time developing the game. Granted the games been in development since God of War 2, but there's no guarantee it's going to be released.



March 2010 is a very likely release date. So again don't get your hopes up, even if I do want it to release, I just want them to take their time polishing the game. I mean releasing God of War 3 at the end of this year can hurt the title, which imo is going to be the GOTY caliber over any of the announced games. And take away sales. In 2010 there's barely any top notch games coming for Sony. I think releasing this in March 2010, like what Sony did with releasing Killzone 2 at the end of this month will be beneficial for the game for maximum percent of sales. It also starts off 2010 with a massive bang.



As for MS line-up as much as I want to see Sony have a fantastic year with games and line-up, unbiasedly I can't see them beating MS this year. Last year it was the same thing, and it didn't happen regardless of the fact Sony has beaten MS 360 sales in the first two years.

Are you freakin serious? My hopes are up and for a good reason. Microsoft needs to pull some amazing games out of there ass to beat this list. Last year was an awesome year for ps3 games. MGS4 took home GOTY on a lot of major gaming sites and Little Big Planet took the cake at D.I.C.E. winning 8 awards including console and overall GOTY. Of course it is just my opinion that Sony had the better line up.

It really doesn't matter what our individual taste portrays cause while I'll admit to what you say since I've been a sony fan since 94 with PS1, realistically Sony is behind in third place to MS and Nintendo. This is fact. They need some miracle sales this year to tie or even come close to MS. The fact is, the first year head start and the easiness of development for 360 is a huge advantage to MS. LPB while 2 million+ sales are great for a new IP, Sony hyped it up too much and it's technically didn't pass the bar with some people. I'm not denying Sony has a fanastic line-up of first party exclusives and the other party exclusives this year from last, but we've seen articles stating "This is the year of PS3(and sony) and it doesn't happen. It's false hope.



I have no doubt MS will unveil some fantastic exclusives this year to make the competition interesting in 09, but to say they need to pull some games out of their ass to beat sony is unlikely. Sony needs to pull some amazing sales out of their ass this year to be within couple of million if not tie MS 360 in worldwide sales. That I do not see happening at this time. Again while I would love to see this happen and stop reading the horrid critics saying "PS3 is dead, it's a failure, PS4 coming very soon...etc" realistically and biasedly I don't see this happening.

Well since you made it clear your talking about game sales then yes Ms had a better year which makes sense given the larger install base. What does that mean as far as how good the games were? Nothing. I'm saying the console with the games that are getting GOTY awards on credible gaming sites and at events like DICE is the console with the better exclusive line up. Ps3 did it in 2008 and with the games that are on this list already I think they will do it again next year. Where are you reading about the ps3 being dead and a failure?
