SCEA: Killzone 2 open beta by 2008? |

If you happen to be among the PlayStation 3 owners looking for a potential sampler of Guerrilla Games' Killzone 2, we've got some good news.During a recent inquiry by the PSU crew, Sony Computer Entertainment America's (SCEA) Alex Armour stated that there was indeed going to be a public beta release for Killzone 2's online mode.
Downie further explained that the open beta was needed for the dev team to work out any possible kinks. Before you get too excited, however, Downie further stated that the demo probably won't make it by this year. It will most likely be available by 2008.
This announcement confirms the past rumors that had been cropping up. The most prominent of which being Guerrilla Games lead tester Seb Downie's post at the Killzone 2 forums. Like Armour, Downie stressed the point that the devs would need to run an open beta to help them debug Killzone's online mode.

I Cant Wait Does Open mean Public???
Warhawk was an open beta and it wasnt public. So GAP members get first notice (which im happy cause I got in GAP a few months ago.) Home on the flip side I think will have a public beta.
I'm hoping that this will top - or at least rival - Call of Duty 4's open beta.
That's gonna be a tall order, but if it does pull it off, Killzone 2 is worth the wait :)
What is GAP and how do I become a member? I wanna play some Killzone.

Theres no sure way to get in but I heard it helps by posting on the PSU forums and updating your acount and games a lot. I was kind of surprised when I got in cause I wanted them to send me a invite since the Warhawk beta.

To become a member is a random process. Sony just emails you and states that you are welcome to be a part of it. It basically consists of a website forum that allows you to discuss things in better detail than the General PS forums. It also offers you opportunities to try betas, and in my case, I got a free t-shirt.
and im gna wait for a fully loaded complete version. i love and enjoy fully charged explosive fun :)
