Sackboy character featured in Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet - Image 1This autumn is going to be a rather auspicious season for gamers due to the arrival of several hard-hitting titles, with Killzone 2, LittleBigPlanet, and Resistance 2 slated to be released for the Sony PlayStation 3 console around that time.

Videogamer.com mentioned that the latest Sony Computer Entertainment schedule of PS3 games listed the UK release of Media Molecule's LittleBigPlanet and Guerrilla Games' Killzone 2 for this September, while Insomniac Games' Resistance 2 will be making its way to stores by November.

Gamers will certainly have their hands full trying to choose which game to get their hands on first, especially since Microsoft will be fielding out its own set of titles with Gears of War 2, Fable 2, and Banjo 3 set for an autumn release as well. Either way, it's all good for anyone who's hungry for something decent to play (like this blogger).

Keep coming back to this spot for more information regarding these upcoming titles.

Update: Guerrilla Games has amended Sony UK's announcement about Killzone 2's September release schedule. According to the developers, Killzone 2 still has no specific release date. Read all about it in this article.

if I were a video game programmer, I'd aim for a summer release when all the kids are out of school with nothing to do, not a fall release when everyone's just starting school and is going to try and actually focus for a few months.

» well...

If I were a video programmer... I don't want to compete with the gorilla of 500k pounds called metal gear :P...

The thing is, if it already confirmed by sony, why they doesn't announce something about killzone? when will be E3 this year? maybe they want to make a big announcement of killzone who knows...

» Actually dred..

Statistics would tell you that people are indoors more during fall and winter and thus software sales are the highest. Spring and summer people go out more hence why the movie theaters do so much better during this time and our gas prices go up.
