Last February, Namco Bandai Games (responsible for such titles as Soul Caluber IV and Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tankaichi 2) announced their intent to produce a video game adaptation of the anime series "Afro Samurai".
If you haven't heard of Afro yet, shame on you. That's the anime Samuel L. Jackson lent his voice to as the title character. Go watch it if you haven't already. I promise blood and lots of it.
As for the game, it's a cel-shaded hack-and-slasher. The gameplay will be combo-based with a time-slowing ability thrown into the mix. Sammy will again be lending his voice to the characters "Afro" and "Ninja Ninja." I also promise blood and lots of it.
Afro Samurai (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) won't be out 'til January 27 next year so here are some screenshots to tide you over until then:
