Trying to much to be like GTA needs to get its own original image, to many similarities but I will probably play it all the same, looks fun.

saint's row doesn't force you to play the story mode to enjoy the majority of it's features...



saint's row lets you customize your character...



saint's row lets you customize your car way more than ANY GTA game...



saint's row gives you more freedom in the main story (go after any gang when you want too)...



saint's row doesn't force you to listen to the radio to hear music, you can "buy" music and make your own playlists...



trying to be like GTA, gtfo...

GTA4 and Saint's Row are two different games. I dont understand why people are so upset about the Saint's Row franchise. This world is big enough for two sandbox titles. GTA got there first, ok, that does not make it the best. Saint's Row has plenty different to offer the gamer (see: customization). The control scheme was just fine in Saint's Row with room for improvement (like everything else in life). The last time I checked I wasnt locking onto targets I didnt want to lock onto in Saint's. Volition and Rockstar are going two different paths with their games. Saint's Row is taking the hyper-reality route, while Rockstar wanted a more realistic feel. Given each person has their own taste and opinion, but when you have a bunch of people spouting out uneducated ramblings about how GTA4 should be the one and only when Saint's 2 isn't even out yet...thats not fair. Both have similarities towards each other, yes, however that is to be expected of the sandbox genre let alone every other genre out there (FPS!!!).

Why does it look so ugly and sharp? Graphics are only slightly better looking than San Andreas from that vid...

Have you played GTA IV? It really doesnt sound like it. I spent 10 hours just running around and doing 'stuff' outside the story.





Also I was able to do which ever persons missions I wanted to in GTA IV.



plus this game looks like absolute crap compared to GTA IVs visuals. The city looks plastic made, the characters look like a step above original XBOX GTA graphics and the guns and cars look completely un-interesting.





I dont think there will be a Saints Row 3, they put alot of money into this one to compete with GTA IV and I dont see it doing better them mediocre, even being multiplat.

For some reason, less hyped games work more for me.



GTA IV had WAY too much hype for its own good. Again, the name "GTA" is what helped sell the game JUST like Halo did.



Both Halo and GTA earnt its well deserved reputation from last gen.



But come on, although GTA3 is my fav, San Andreas was the one that delivered the most in EVERYTHING.



For some reason, GTA 4 makes me feel like i should finish of my Driver3.
