New scans have arrived for Saints Row 2 (PS3, 360) from Gamepro. According to the translation from Game Planets, the scans (which are, unfortunately, in full German), offer some info on gameplay, story and other... interesting details that give the game its particular charm.First some trivia: The game is set 15 years after the first game and many areas have changed since then. Some new areas are only accessible by boat, plane or helicopter. All of the characters in the game will have access to every piece of clothing in the game. That's right, you can dress your characters in lingerie in the character editor. (Even the ones who weren't meant to wear it.)
Now the, um, interesting details: You can now use other characters as a human shield. Also, if you shoot a pedestrians balls crotch area, people will drive slower to stare and will impede pursuers. You can now also attach limpet mines on cars, walls or on the backs of your enemies.
As for the visuals, there are no more pop-ups and graphics have been improved a bit, particularly the weather effects. Still no word on a release date though. At any rate, on to the scans:

GTA IV has kinda gone ethnic and Saints Row is staying Gangsta. Both might be worth my money.

They copied GTA, but badly did so...
Still, now that GTA4 is a complete make over of the serie, I think it's the chance for saint's row to simply copy directly san andreas. Not that they can't do better, but I don't want them to follow the True Crime games... the 1st was a bad copy, the second was crap. If they can copy enough of the good things we loved in san andreas and remove the bad things (like the bad clothing feature, that takes forever to load, while adding custom radio like the san andreas PC game) this game could rock. And at the same time, even if the would copy, it's not a bad thing for us now is it? lol. At the same time, they could show us what they can do by adding a lot of stuff!
Because if it's not better than the 1st, I won't buy it. Still, I hope the demo will be big enough so we can try it enough.

Why do people keep saying Saint's Row is like TRUE CRIMES...True Crimes was NOTHING like gta...it was hardly a free roaming game...
Saint's row was more of a copy..which isn't a bad thing...
