"Sack It To Me" weekly LBP Q&A, moderations, full profiles, and Sackbook.com |
Time for another edition of "Sack It To Me," where all your LittleBigPlanet questions and worries are brought to rest, courtesy of the PlayStation Blog. For this week, SCEA marketing manager Mark Valledor addresses the nagging moderation issue, failure to load, lag, full profiles, and more info on the suspension of Sackbook.com.
Moderation
They haven't forgotten those who have been affected by the moderation, and they're still working on it right now. They're making it so that moderation will be received more favorable this time.
Rankings
User-created level data now indicate star ratings.
Failed to load level
The “Failed to Load Level” message has two causes: first, if latency or server conditions result in a time out before
the level completes loading; and second, if youÂ’re trying to access a
level that has been moderated. If the level you're trying to access hasn't been moderated, then you can try loading it again.
Lag
Full Profiles
For those who're seeing the "Full Profiles" messages, your PopIt menu might have too many stuff in it, especially in "Community Objects." You might want to delete some old pics and objects to make room for new ones. They're already working with Media Molecule on increasing storage space for this.
Sackbook.com
Quoting Mark Valledor,
An impressive community fansite popped up last week and we were all impressed, but weÂ’ve been in discussions with the site owner and requested the site be suspended. Chris, the site owner, was happy to work with us on this. Our intent is to be able to offer everyone the choice of whether their shared data is visible or not in order to protect everyoneÂ’s privacy, and while Sackbook was doing nothing wrong in the way it presented information and had no access to any personal data, we believe this additional option is important.
Merchandise
For those wondering about Sackboy merchandise, Valledor simply explains that a lot of companies aren't willing to invest in Sackboy just yet, with him being new and all. Once they get companies to cooperate, the production lead time takes "insanely long" as Valledor put it. Another reason is quality - they make sure that they make Sackboy stuff to be as good as they can get.
Okay, so that'll keep a lot of LBP players calm, at least until next week. Sack It To Me will be back next week to answer more of our LittleBigPlanet queries.
