Rumor: Silver DualShock 3 coming June 24, silver PS3 to follow? |

The PSP isn't the only Sony console that comes in different colors. OK, so it's not an actual console per se, but apparently there's a silver DualShock 3 PS3 controller that's coming out in a couple of months.
There's no official announcement for this controller yet, but an EBGames listing says that it's going to ship beginning June 24 for US$ 54.99. It's the same price as a black DualShock 3, so you might want to wait for this if you're in the market for a new controller.
This also lends more credence to rumors of a silver PS3 that's also supposed to be unveiled at E3. Why release a silver controller if there's no silver console to match its color, right?

i would never ever by a silver ps3, it might be slimmer though
anyway i have a charcoal TV, the only reason i took it was because it was a great deal at the time, next week, well the prices plummeted ive been pissed off for over a year now :)
anyone can go into any gamestop and preorder this item already. i saw it in the new release accessories at my gamestop
thats sofunny,if a colr does come it will be severely limited like the fat ps2s(anyone remember the psu contest) but just cuz a ds3 color is comming doesnt mean ***** about a ps3, just look at the us ds2 and ps2 colors, retail black and silver ps2s, ds2 besides black almost all colors of the rainbow seet through and yet no see through ps2 or color was released.
The official silver DS3 has been out forever. I ordered mine off of play-asia.com. It's from japan but it's exactly the same.
There was a Silver PS3 already, so it's not impossible, though I do doubt that they would put the effort and bringing it over here.
PS they have silver ps3 bundles in Japan.
I too have a silver DS3 ordered from play-asia (I wanted to be able to discern my DS3 from my several 6axes at a glance). But this now means that one can have a brand-new silver DS3 in one's sweaty palms after a quick jaunt down to GameStop, instead of waiting a week for shipment from play-asia. Nearly instant gratification. :-D
That color, Silver, seems very remeniscent of the old ps1 DualShocks...
Yeah I was thinking the same thing...why the hell do QJ always mess up like this?

I would buy that one. It looks very mysterious and foreign. In chrome it would look badass.
