Rumor revived: Star Ocean: The Last Hope on PS3

Is Star Ocean: The Last Hope getting a PS3 release? For some reason, it seems online video game rental service GameFly thinks so since a PS3 version of the Xbox 360 exclusive is listed in their database.

Rumors about a PS3 release for Star Ocean: The Last Hope have surfaced and been eventually proven false before. The dev team has even said that they have no plans to port the game over to the Sony console. That was before, though, and we all know that these days the word "exclusive" doesn't really mean what we used to think it did. Still, we'll have to wait for official word from tri-Ace or Sony before we move this out of the rumors section.

I'd really like to think this would actually happen. As it'd be cheaper to get this game on PS3 instead of buying an Xbox. Which I'd only use for the rare [i.e. good] RPG to grace Microsoft's front step.

I think you're not missing out on much. I played the game and didn't think it was all that great. I really like playing Infinite Undiscovery and it's almost identical in gameplay but Star Ocean seem so slow.

Have you ever played this game? It's really not any good lol. This game isn't worth its $60 pricetag, you'd have to be a complete lunatic to buy a 360 just to play this subpar game. It's got a decent story but the gameplay and English voice acting are cringe-inducing



Spend it on the dozens of other, better RPGs available

like 30 mins of it and stopped +( I'll get back to it sooner or later but for now nah. Tales of Vesperia was good not sure when its coming out for PS3. Still havent finish that either up to the last part atleast I think it is when that thing pops in the middle of nowhere

so even though the 360 is getting more RPG's they.re not great? I was reading reviews for this game, Las Remanant (possible spell errors).Blue Dragon, Los Odyssey...and haven't heard many possitive comments...

I enjoy Lost Odyssey, great story and acting and the gameplay doesn't bore me to death, but IMO Last Remnant, Infinite Undiscovery, Star Ocean etc are all pretty mediocre games. Star Ocean is worth a rent tho, it can be completed in that time

Forgot Blue Dragon, that game is not too great either.



Tales of Vesperia is pretty good, I think that's also on PS3 tho, and the best one is also available on PS3, Eternal Sonata

ToV is coming to PS3...so...RPG's while not being much on the PS3 is nto a big deal given the games the 360 has...I think I'll keep PSP for RPG gaming XD
