Rumor: PS3 trophy and gamer card screens leaked? |

We've reported recently that the implementation of the PS3 Firmware 2.40 update will herald the coming of the PlayStation 3 Trophy feature. Actual screenshots of Trophies haven't been revealed yet, but if the picture on the right is legit, then we probably now have an idea on what it should look like.Gaming site PS3 Fanboy received the above image from a certain tipster known as "The Patriots." PS3 Fanboy checked the picture if there are any signs of being modified or "Photoshopped," and they were able to conclude that the picture may indeed be the real thing - it was proven that the image was photographed from a monitor, and that the avatar used is an actual Ratchet and Clank avatar.
To make things even more interesting, another tipster who claimed to be a game developer backed up The Patriot's tips as the real thing, and even provided another screenshot of a gamer card page of sorts that included a Trophy section. As for the in-game XMB feature, the second tipster claimed that the in-game XMB will let gamers compare trophies, among other things.
Of course, all of these things are not confirmed (and probably won't be until Firmware 2.40 sees the light of day), so take this with a grain of salt. Stay tuned for more updates.

Hopefully it will give me trophies based on what has been completed from a game save, cuz I would really hate to earn The Big Boss emblem again on MGS4.
I wanted a gamercard really badly! Not that mine is not looking good, but I have to update it. And last time I posted on gamespot, I saw that, as my gamercard said, I didn't have GTA4, but I already finished it and played a lot online. So with a lazy dude like me, a real gamercard is a blessing!

Hopefully this is just Beta and the final looks better.
Still doesn't beat Xbox Live, imo. But since it's free, who really cares?

i think xbox live has gone down the s*itter since that update where you could view friends of friends. it takes ages to start and i find myself looking at a circle wizzing round when it signs in for at least 1 min i wish it could go back to how it was before the update. i think its bloated and useless now as soon as xmb in game comes out its bye bye £40 a year for me when a month of this years xbox live is being spent getting a repair. does anyone know if you get like a month free or somthing for the time its out?
because we are PS3 fans and uses PS3 all day/night.
We wont notice anything from XBL coz we dont play on it.
What we notice is the PSN is being upgraded + improved every month and we are thankful for it.
well the screens are most likely fake due to how ugly they are and since they are so ugly the xbox 360 gamer card looks a ton better then what we see here so he has all the right to say the 360 gamer card looks better then this piece of **** so now can we stop the fanboy stuff now for once?
I hate the 360 not because of its games but because it broke down on me 3 times BUT, you would have to be a fool to say this psn network gamer card looks better then the already released 360 gamercards.
They look horrible. Possible Photoshop but then again they'll probably look better when we see them. But yeah, they're a cool addition anyway. I hope the maintenance today is for this update.
When this is released, HOW will Live be better? And yes, while the 360 has in-game communication, it doesn't have a full in-game dashboard.
because it charges you to invite, msg, chat even though the functionalities are already incorporated in the xbox ¬_¬

I'm really pleased to see Sony finally getting thier act together, can't wait for this and the 2.40 update, then all I gotta do is play through MGS4 with The Black Mages blasting through my speakers xD
