Could it be? Well according to reports from a certain Japanese tech site, it looks like Sony has already nailed down the release date of the highly anticipated PS3 firmware update that will support 3D gaming.
As spotted by the guys at NeoGAF, Sony is reportedly looking for a June 10 release of the said firmware that will also include game re-releases to support the 3D update. Games such as LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2 and Super Stardust HD are expected to be included in the list, with many more titles to come.

I cant wait for this but Im guessing Im gonna have to..No money.
I did read earlier that sony unveiled and priced some 3d tvs in India. I googled the conversion from indian rupees and the cheapest came in around the 700 euro mark and the most expensive one was about 1,550 euro. The article gave no info on the sizes and I have no idea wether the info was accurate or if sony would charge the same over here as they would over there.
Just though I'd mention it

About the 3D... gotta wait to save money for a 3D capable TV (and hopefully at the same time prices to come down).
A little off topic, but I'm wondering if the way the TV talks to the glasses to keep them in sync is standardized. If so I can see a viable 3rd party market for "Designer" 3D glasses.

I know that's not ideal and screws a quite a bit with colors, but I'm pretty sure it's just as easy to implement and can be used on any TV anywhere.

And it's not really "enhanced" an any way other than color. That's pretty much the only thing that gets better between the two. I'd rather have anaglyph now that doesn't cost ANYTHING than have to pay loads of money or wait a long time for prices to come down to get this new "enhanced" 3D.

Unless Sony pulls some firmware miracle plus couples the ethernet jack to compensate for the less than adequate bandwidth HDMI 1.3 entails, the 3D they are talking about is not the same as the new tv, projectors you've been hearing about.
