I own all three consoles, and 360 is the one I play the most. I would say its a mistake to trade your 360 in for a ps3 (especially right now) since the only thing Ive used my ps3 for so far was about 10 hours worth of Motorstorm, and Ive had it since launch. But youre free to do whatever you choose...

First of all why don't you try to look up funner in a dictionary.



I am looking forward to many good things in the future with my console. Have you checked the facts recently BD is overwhelming HD-DVD more and more every day. I am not preaching BD here I am just stating some obvious facts.



Just like the 360 still has not reached it's full potential yet the PS3 is also still miles away. I will not even try to spew percentages and figures because I think that is ignorant and unquantifiable because you are talking about theoretical limits. But I will tell you that for a fact neither console has reached it's limit yet.



These PS3 games are 1st generation on a console that is admittedly more difficult to program for. The learning curve is much greater and truly good games will take some time to make. Make no mistake about it though the PS3 will get some great games particularly after the studios master how to program for it. This is not an excuse it is a fact.



BTW, cancer is just one of the many things that folding@home is trying to cure. Alzheimer's, Cystic Fibrosis, Huntington's, Parkinson's, BSE, and cancer are all things that folding is working to cure.

Hmmm... how many AMERICAN companies has Microsoft gobbled and liquidated? --How many competitors has it ruthlessly squashed via questionable business practices that the Federal Govt has had to spend HEAPING SUMS of taxpayer money to sue over and restrain from them repeating? --zettrane makes some good points, but "buy Microsoft because their American" isn't one of them. Besides, other than the Intel CPU (Sony's Cell is ALSO an American IBM product), I think you'd be hard-pressed to find any American components in an Xbox 360. As for hardware/software design-team jobs, sure. But, I think these superginormous megacorporation s like Microsoft have also been the ones to pave the way for "Free Trade", and the resultant job outsourcing we see today. There's no way that Microsoft (or Mac, or Sony, or etc, etc) OS software, other bloatware, etc. could have sold in the volume that it does today if there were not dirt-cheap machines available for "the common buyer". So, in the end, I think we've all paid (behind the lines) for the right to purchase whatever mostly-foreign-component product we choose. "Home team" doesn't quite have the meaning it once did. Heck, even in sports "home team" doesn't mean anything, when you consider that 90% of any professional team is made of players who sold themselves to the highest bidder and transplanted their family to your 'home town.'

The only mention of 360 fanboys in your your post talks about the supposed crap they say. Then the rest of your post is about how much the PS3 sucks. You are a loser! I not only have a full brain and the money, but I am actually glad that I bought a PS3. I am sorry to rain on your parade but you deserve it.



You had just better hope that the cheapest BD player, which is also your consoles competition, doesn't flood the market with consoles purchased primarily for BD right now. Wouldn't that suck for you? That would give the game studios a huge PS3 market to sell to making much it more valuable to them to do so. Most of the lost exclusives that you 360 fanboys like to preach about are simply due to a smaller, and therefore less profitable, consumer base. They didn't teach you things like that in economy class? You don't start a company to lose money. You start a company to make it! When you are publicly shared your shareholders also demand it!



Keep bashing that which you fear because that is your only hope to keep it down. It is worth every penny I spent on it. I have no regrets whatsoever. Scratch that! I regret spending so much time responding to a loser like yourself because I did buy one.

I agree about the age thing man. Im 27 and of course I was playing games way before playstation hit the scene. To me, ps seems like a fad in the industry that only the younger croud adopts because they think its the coolest console since its made by sony.



Take last gen for example, Xbox was the better machine pound for pound but somehow the ps2 sold more. Now its the other way around, PS3 is the (SLIGHTLY) better machine but I feel it going the way of the dreamcast sooner or later.



Unlike you though, I own all 3 consoles (I try to get all the consoles each gen) and Ive only played my ps3 for about 12 hours total since I got it on launch. Theres just not anything that great to play. Actually, the sad thing is Ive probably played the Wii more than my ps3 (zelda, of course).



The way I see it is this...PS3 is for hardcore gamers, 360 is for casual and hardcore gamers, and Wii is for new and casual gamers. I know which one goldie locks would pick! lol

The PS3 IS THE CHEAPEST BD PLAYER! Don't you get it? Currently the cheapest BD only players are the same price as the PS3. With upgradeable firmware BD features can be added down the road if more features need to be added. Why not buy a PS3 for the same money? It makes more sense, appears to the consumer to be a more valuable option for the money, and WILL flood the market with PS3 consoles.

Stop trying to explain yourself. You really just don't like what you don't understand. I bet you haven't read one bit of technical info on the cell have you? PPE's, SPE's, EIB, DMAC. Maybe you should find out how all of those work together it might help you.



You likely haven't kept an interest in the HD vs. BD war and the way the momentum is shifting at a rapidly increasing pace towards BD. If you had been you would know a little more about them. BTW, I saw a comment about maybe HD viewers are renting instead of buying unlike BD owners. Sorry to rain on that one but I rent BD through Netflix. It's a great service and then I don't waste my money on movies that suck. Chances are a few other people use Netflix for BD to play on their PS3's too! I honestly do not care which one wins. If it's HD I will gladly buy a player. I don't believe that is how the pieces will fall, though.



I used to be a primarily PC gamer also and still do play more than half of my games on my PC. But unlike you I see a whole lot of potential from this machine and they haven't broke the surface yet with what it can do.



So why don't you spend a few days researching all of the things related to these consoles and stop worrying about what you now think are awesome games because even future 360 games will improve from their current state. Take my word for it! This 7th generation of consoles is about far more than just games!
