We've got another rumor alert for the PlayStation 3 owners, and it deals with our favorite topic - new firmwares. As guys over at the Blu-Ray and PlayStation Forums have been discussing, there's ongoing speculation that a PS3 from the recent E3 2007 was running on the yet-to-be-released firmware 1.90. Even more interesting is that this new firmware supposedly adds an option to select music while you're playing.Given it's a rumor, we can't really verify if this is true, although it will be remembered that SCEA Senior PR Manager Patrick Seybold recently did state that we'll be getting more info very soon. Stick around for this week, and hope that Mr. Seybold makes good his statement.

a good update for some of my PS3 brothers but to me, personally, it's a useless one.
still doesn't hurt to have the option available for PS3 users, an improvement in whatever shape or form is an improvement still.

Singstar (music downloads) and Home are the only things to worry about when it comes to firmware.

And you won't be able to play music
in your "old" games like DefJam or Resistance because they don't support that feature.
with an update of the game will no let it work?... anyway is just to have access in game of the xmb or just an option for music and buddy list and message... the music in game is useless to me.. but a lot of people really want it... I just want access to my buddy list and message... glad that resistance give that option in the last network update... cool if u play online but dad when u just play it offline...

Actually it has been confirmed xmb in game access firstly some games have the option alreaady and it was reported on the home bea that u can access xmb.

I love that the 360 blog is totally empty. The very few fans of the 360 around here seem to troll on the PS3 forums. Truly pathetic. What probably happened is people lost interest after they got a red ring of death. All but one of my 360 owning friends are on at least console 2 or went to PS3 (most did this after realizing their mistake). Maybe when MS gets their stuff together I would be interested in buying one. As for now though, I would say anyone knowing the low quality of the 360 product would be an idiot to portray them as a superior product. Truly that person would be devoid of any common sense.
Actually the show was more like 360. Great when it first came out and a lot of red neck imbreds loved it. Then it starting failing for a lot of people so they recalled it. There was too much smoke and lights (red ones for the 360) and not enough real content. The market rejected it and the fans had to go somewhere else. For you thats the PS3 boards.
