Rumor: LittleBigPlanet beta will become free-for-all demo |

If you're not one of the lucky ones who brought down sites that offered LittleBigPlanet beta keys,
don't worry, you mighty yet get a chance to try out the game before its
release.According to a source in the Blu-ray.com forums, Sony might actually open up the beta into a full blown demo.
That means no more racing to get beta keys, and sites that wanted to release them are safe once again.
According to PSXExtreme, the tipster in the Blu-ray.com forums is a reliable one, and his info comes straight from SCEE. According to his post, the Beta was only put in place to generate hype for the game. Don't know if that last one was just his opinion though. In any case though, it generated tremendous hype whether it was Sony's intention or not.
For now, consider this a rumor as this is not official confirmation from Sony, but we'll let you know as soon as Sony does.

I hope this is true. I've tried to get in every time and haven't gotten a key yet.

i havnt heard of anyone disappointed about the game, apart from me
leave it like like, not much point if the hype gets destroyed before the games bought
every single person I've talked on and offline, fps jockeys, racing fans, rpgers, casual gamers, to the last man has said this game is the most fun they've had in years.
but there's always one guy who poo poo's it for everyone else and his opinion is more important than the thousands who say otherwise.
yeah Sony, listen to this guy and not the thousands of beta testers that are saying this game is a game changer.

Ya think all signs point to this being an over-hyped product that just doesn't deliver? God knows we have seen too many of those this year already, but this is totally different.
LBP is the video game equivalent of the Beatles. Gaming will never be the same after October 21st, so why not start the party a little earlier?

It's so pointless to have Beta's... Just release a demo!
The LBP beta isn't to test the game code, it's to test the servers stability under load. Hopefully they have fixed a bug I have come across in a few user created levels.
In general, beta's are needed as they highlight many problems which should be resolved before the game is released. Look at the problems surrounding the current Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix beta and imagine the uproar that Capcom would face if they released the game in that state?
I plan on getting Motorstorm: Pacific Rift first.

Even if this is true I wouldn't even waste my time downloading it. I already know the game is garbage by how it looks and it would get really old after a week. Besides, it's no RPG Maker. That game was actually fun but this game just looks dull.

How can you say this game looks dull....? It's adorable, cute, comedic, funny, sweet, entertaining, exciting, challenging, remarkable, innovative + inspirational... I could go on.... and on.... It seems like someone has the xbox fanboy syndrome, which in-turn means you slating the best looking title on the PS3, no wait... on any system to date, ever!
