All eyes are on God of War III. While we're waiting for those new updates from Sony (comes out this Friday!), we also heard a few days back that Kratos is the coverboy for the upcoming issue of Game Informer. Are you willing to wait until next month though? If not, how about a rumor to tide you over?Yeah, better believe it. Someone's claiming they've been able to get a copy of the magazine already and leaked the info of Game Informer's 8-page feature on GoW3! Here's the full runthrough:
- Unlike God of War 1 and #@%!3
4#@%!! where there are only 15 enemies on screen, there will now be around 50 this time. - You can ride monsters like the Cyclops and "control".
- Kratos on the PS2 used 5,000 polygons, now he uses 20,000.
- They made the weapons "better" so it adds more variety. Like with a different weapon, you don't get just a couple different attacks, but a whole different play style.
- The lion gauntlets are called Cestus.
- Enemy AI's are a lot smarter. Some of the enemies will be "commanders" and control the other grunts.
- Enemies will look different, even if they're the same type. Like, even though the skeleton soldiers are in the same category, they will have varied looks, so it's not like everyone looks the same.
- More boss fights than GoW 1, but less than GoW 2.
- No multiplayer.
- Hades boss fight confirmed.

*Update* It is true! Scans have surfaced the Internet of the magazine's copy! So if you really want to know the beef - and not just in outline form above - go grab yourselves a copy of the latest Game Informer issue.

I'm all for multiplayer in shooters and fighters and stuff like that, but for an Action game where most if not all weapons are melee...I think it would get kind of annoying.

MY OPINION?
I have a PS3 and I love it! I really do wish I had a 360 because both systems have their advantages like the PS3 has the bluray, free network, cheaper upgrading (HDD and WiFi) and exclusives. As for the 360 has the better Network service (because of LIVE ARCADE and MULTIPLAYER-at a price which pretty much cancels the ps3 and 360's out on that note) its easier to develop games for which is why ex-sony exclusives are now working with 360 and also gets exclusive DLC more than PS3.
I know I left stuff out but in the end its all balanced, everyone should stop battering each other, wait. don't. Why? because its entertaining especially seeing melty drooling over everyone's "orientation" LOL

On a lighter side, it sounds like they are really stepping this one up. A boss fight with Hades sounds real *****ing awesome.
