So has anyone here taken one of Sony's PS3 satisfaction surveys recently? Because if you have, then perhaps you would have noticed one strange, little question at the end of it, just as Kotaku's Brian Crecente did.That particular part of the survey pretty much wanted to know if you would someday want to buy, among other things, a high-def Eye Toy. Hmm... considering the lukewarm reception that the first wave of Eye Toys have received, many are left to wonder just exactly why Sony is even considering investing more effort into a product which proved to be weak. Another question which was raised was the practical use of such a device.

Let's all play "Bash the Bloggers." You know, you don't always have to be so mean to QJ for trying to spread the gospel which is the PS3. But to be on-topic, yes, I took the survey this morning. I didn't buy the original EyeToy, and don't plan on buying a HD version. I don't even have the 360's camera for Xbox Live. Serves no purpose to me.

I took the survey in the wee hours of this morning and noticed the hd camea as a selection. I choose other and wrote in a #&@^%!* adapter for the guitar hero controller.
Alright - My internet connection is about 1.5 megabit - never going to see 1080p video chat... and if I do - then it will be of an internet stripper - cause that is just something that I would love to see in full 1080p. LOL Damn some of those girls are hot - my wife is going to hate me
and anyway DAH! they will pop an HD eye toy, if that was a question in your head you should stop watching TV all days because you are now stupid... and anyway, is this really a news? ...sigh

I'm pretty sure EYE TOY has performed extremely well, and is very popular. This is why Sony is going to come out with a newer version, I just hope it isn't too expensive.

No, that aint possible, 1080p video chat online would require a massive ammount of bandwith that is not possible to stream with a normal DSL connection... so you can get that off of your mind :) - SlijkhuiS
