Rumor: GTA, GTA II, and Street Fighter Alpha coming to PSN? |

With the new set of video game sequels gearing up to hit the PlayStation 3, it looks like Sony is looking to reintroduce some of the classic titles from both the Grand Theft Auto and Street Fighter series to herald their respective followings.This information was taken from an article posted on the Official PlayStation Magazine, which stated that Grand Theft Auto, Grand Theft Auto 2, and Street Fighter Alpha will soon be making an appearance as downloads on the PlayStation Network. An excerpt from the magazine can be found in the related image found in this article.
Whether this is true or not, it will certainly help bring the newer gamers into the fold by familiarizing them with the roots of the upcoming Grand Theft Auto IV (PS3, Xbox 360) and Street Fighter 4 titles.
Either way, we'll be sure to keep an eye out for any of the previously mentioned classic titles should they make their way on to the PSN. Keep coming back to this space for more updates as we get them.

In the descriptions of the game it says that I cant play the mode versus of the game... is that only in the psp or the ps3 as well? thats why I din't bought any ps1 games like jet moto...
Only applies to PSP. The options are still there, but you cant access them on PSP because the PSP uses AdHoc, while the PS3...well...it's just like playing it on PS1. Except with faster load times and much sharper visuals.

why spend like 6 bucks for ps1 games when u can buy them for like a dollar somewhere else that sells used games.
play it in the psp too.. but yeah.. I think it's a little espensive too..
Lol, GTA III is spelled "III" and GTA2 is spelled with the number "2". Not "II". =P To be exact, it really should be GTa2 since the A in the logo is not capital.
What IS capital though, is that both GTA and GTa2 will come to PS3 and PSP! Hooray! I know they are both free for PC download on http://www.rockstargames.com/classics but I can't get GTA running lag free, and GTa2 is crashing on level 3 when I have saved a game and modded the game afterwards. Storing the savegames somewhere else and reinstalling the game doesn't work, the game crashes anyway.
I have a 10 Mb rip of GTa2 for the PSP, but there's no music and TBH, the screen isn't that big. What I'm looking forward to is the possible multiplayer feature in both games. And, of course, running GTA lag free. I hope the graphics are PC equal though.
I hope this opens the door to more PSOne classics, cause its really lacking. Im hoping for FF7, FF8, FF9 baby.
or at least, a part of it. I wish I never traded FF7.
